Patriots wide receiver Reche Caldwell dropped some passes last night, but after looking at this picture you can't exactly claim he wasn't keeping his eye on the ball. In fact, I think his eyes might be bigger than a football. As the irreverent blog Slack LaLane points out today, Caldwell and "runaway bride" Jennifer Wilbanks have strikingly similar features. So what was going on with Caldwell last night? At one point late in the game, Caldwell was all alone, with no Colts within 15 yards of him, and Tom Brady threw him a pass for what should have been the easiest gain of the night. Caldwell dropped it. He also dropped what should have been a touchdown pass in the end zone, although the Patriots scored on the next play.
After the game, Caldwell blamed himself:
"It was right in my hands. I tried to run before I got the ball, but I took my eyes off the ball when I looked upfield.
"I missed some plays out there that could have helped our team. It wasn't my best performance, but I have to come back and work harder."
Yeah, I guess that's really all you can say at this point. It was the kind of game that must make him want to run away and hide.

HEY PATRIOTS (AND FANS),
I JUST WANTED TO ADMIT, AFTER WATCHING YOUR GAME AGAINST THE COLTS, THAT ELLIS HOBBS DID A GREAT JOB ON DEFENSE (DESPITE THE CHARGER'S QB RIVERS CALLING HIM THE WORST CORNER IN THE LEAGUE). ON ANOTHER NOTE, YOU ARE MAYBE STARTING TO REALIZE WHY THE CHARGERS GOT RID OF RECHE CALDWELL AFTER FOUR FRUITLESS YEARS OF TRYING TO TEACH HIM HOW TO BE A WR IN THE NFL (AND THAT TEACHING CAME FROM A HALL OF FAME COACH - KEN LOFTIN). HE CAN'T CATCH THE BALL CONSISTANTLY....OH, HE DID AGAINST US THEN THUMPED HIS CHEST ALL DAY LONG...WHEN WILL THESE PLAYERS LEARN ITS "TEAM", "TEAM", "TEAM"....NOT "ME", "ME", "ME"!!!!
THE CHARGERS HAVE SOME OF THEM TOO AND THAT'S BEEN ADDRESSED BY THE TEAM. FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH TO YOU UP THERE IN NE.....I LOVE THE PLAY OF MERRIMAN BUT HATE HIS SACK DANCE HISTRIONICS. SEE YA NEXT YEAR, GET READY TO "STRAP IT UP"......
OH YES......PLEASE PASS THE POPCORN AND THE BEER ON 3 FEBRUARY......

Can anyone say 'Deer in front of Headlights?' Caldwell is just a average receiver. That's why the Chargers didn't keep him. He wouldn't be playing if the Patriots had better receivers. Suprisingly, with eyes that big, he can't even keep them on the ball to catch it consistently. Funny

Well, what can I say, I usually don't blame a loss on one player, BUTT, Thia guy, what's his name? RECHED, Yes, that's a good name for him,"RECHED".
What the hell was that field goal kicker's name for the Pat's when B.Parcells was coach and the camera man was focused on Parcells and you could read his lips , saying You F$#@ing suck, well anyway, that's exactly what I feel about this guy "RECHED" He
F%$@ing SUCKS, There was no friggen reason for this guy to miss these passes. The only mistake Tom B. made was to throw to him after he missed the wide open pass. At that point in time there was no reason to try and give him a redeeming chance pass. There is only one thing for Coach Belichick to do and that is to either boot him off or send him to the practice team with no chance of coming back up to the A-team, and one other thing and that is to dock him 100% of his pay for that game.

As a Colts fan, I was very glad that Reche Caldwell blew it last night by dropping 2 crucial passes, one of them a touchdown. As a clean and sober drug addict for 16 years, I am convinced that Caldwell was under the influence of some foreign substance last night in New England's 38-34 loss to the Colts. The look he had in his eyes and the lack of concentration he exhibited in the game instantly led me to believe that he was lit up on something, obviously a very potent stimulant of some kind. I'm not saying for sure what he may have been on, but it reminded me an awful lot of the look people get when they take a massive blast on a crack pipe.

My wife and I agree Caldwell must have been on some drug he thought would give him an edge, but edged him out of the game instead. The cameras showed he was starring at the ball all the way into his chest and just let it slide on through starring at it without blinking as it went. Did anybody see this guy blink?! We never did. I say drugs.

The real Reche Caldwell came out yesterday. This guy is a bum and he was put up on a pedestal after a decent game against the Chargers. I'm a Charger fan and I can tell you that when he was there he was a bum and that's why they got rid of his butt. I didn't like him at Florida (oh did I mention I'm a native Tennessean?)I despised the fact that they brought him into the Charger's organization. Granted the former Vol Eric Parker didn't do so hot against the Pats, I still would take him over Reche "Pug-Eyes" Caldwell. That bum was in the spotlight and melted like a stick of butter. Now the rest of the world knows what the Chargers knew...he's a bum.

Reshe Caldwell was definately on speed or some other anphetmine.
Diaolated eyes, loss of coordination, no question about it bro was high. Maybe he was sick, maybe he couldn`t sleep before the game and was goofy exhausted.. whatever reason he used is his business but it was pretty clear to me that the reason that the Colts are going to the superbowl is because Caldwell was under the influence of drugs and dropped a touchdown pass.
Could be the greatest "just say no" commercial ever in the making.
