Oh, Dominic Rhodes, what are you thinking? You had a great game in the Super Bowl, you just got back from Disney World and you're about to get a nice payday as a free agent. And now you're driving drunk?Indiana State police arrested Colts running back Dominic Rhodes for drunken driving this morning.
The 28-year-old Rhodes was arrested about three a-m driving 81 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.
This is Rhodes' second run-in with the law; in 2002 he was charged with domestic battery. Every team considering signing him just had second thoughts.

This will help make Indy's decision regarding Rhodes' future much easier. He probably just forfeited three or four million dollars in extra value he would have received had he stayed clean.
Indy can now pick up some utility back on the cheap and pair him with their new feature back to give Manning the help he needs from the running game.

Living in Indy where we seem to be the hotspot for major athletes being arrested (just google Indiana Pacers), we probably will be happy to let him go. We definitely don't need anymore bad press there. It was fun while it lasted Dominic.

Pro Athletes/Stars + money = same same same. He'll get a warning at best, along with a multi-million dollar contract in a couple of weeks. If it were me, I'd still be in jail, looking at $3000 in fees, suspended license, higher insurance and a permanent blemish on my record. Not of that sort of thing bothers these guys, why? The Rulers always do as they please. Oh to be a Ruler. You can repeat this post for all the pro thugs that get arrested next weekend too !

When a pro athlete breaks the law, they should be treated like any another citizen. I hope Rhodes learns his lesson from this and continues to perform for our Colts.

Indy,
You guys do NOT need Rhodes. Addai will prove himself more than capable of erasing the memory of Edgerrin James if Polian adds a decent back to give him a breather.
If the D stays healthy, you have a better than even chance of being in the big game again. The Patriots are starting to go Hollywood (Brady), which should make it difficult for them to compete at the highest level.
Now that Peyton has the monkey off his back, look for him to perform better in big games. From here on out, he can have fun. He is forever in the club. Nothing can take that away from him now. The "next Marino" label has gone to the trash bin. I speculate he wins one or two more rings before retirement.

#2 - Yeah, the Colts really shot themselves in the foot letting Edge go and drafting Addai. Just like when they let Faulk go and drafted Edge.
Indy will not be hurting at running back any time soon.

There is no excuse for driving drunk. I would hope that this will serve as a wake-up call to Rhodes to clean up his act. Indianapolis is a class organization as was reported by numerous news services before the Superbowl, so clean up or get out!

WHY IS IT, WHEN YOUR A YOUNG BLACK ATHLETE AND HAVE A RUN IN WITH THE LAW, YOU ARE CALLED A THUG? TWO BLACK PACER PLAYERS WERE OUT CELEBRATING THE COLTS SUPER BOWL VICTORY WITH FRIENDS AT A WEST SIDE CLUB, A FIGHT BREAKS OUT, OF WHICH THE TWO PLAYERS HAD ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO DO WITH . TWO DAYS LATER THE TWO PACER PLAYERS WERE FALSELY ACCUSED OF FIGHTING WHILE AT THE CLUB . THEY,VE BEEN DOGED BY THE MEDIA AND BOOED BY SO CALLED FANS, FOR SOMETHING THEY "DID NOT" DO . PURE AND SIMPLE DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER, LIES ,LIES AND MORE LIES . YOUNG BLACK ATHLETES, WAKE UP! YOU ARE UNDER A MICROSCOPE, THERE IS A TARGET ON YOUR BACK BECAUSE OF WHO YOU ARE AND THE "MONEY" YOU ARE BEING PAID DOING SOMETHING YOU ENJOY . YES, DOMINIC SUPPOSEDLY MADE A MISTAKE BUT WHO HASN'T.....BELIEVE HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE AND NONE OF WHAT YOU HEAR .....STOP HATEING AND GET OVER IT !!!

Looks like Dominic "Don't call me Dusty" Rhodes went out partying with members of the Howard K. Stern fan club and decided to imitate the NASCAR drivers by driving his vehicle pretty fast. I wonder what Peyton Manning's comment that Dominic isn't a running back is coming to haunt him now.

You assholes all think Rhodes' future is over in Indy. Hell, its just beginning. I think all you dumbasses should be drug tested yourself for thinking you know everything. Irsay will understand what a vital role Dominic plays for the Colts and he will reward him accordingly. By the way, the Colts will be playing in next years Superbowl, with Rhodes, and I will be wearing another superbowl jersey.

Wait, isn't he on the wrong team. Maybe he should take a short trip east and hang out with the Bengals, I mean there has to be one cell left.

HEY HES A GREAT PLAYER. EVERYONE WANTES TO DOWNPLAY HIM BECAUSE HE GOT INTO A LITTLE TROUBLE. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES SOME WORSE THAN OTHERS. IM SURE HES GOING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. NOBODY SAID ANYTHING WHEN HE WAS RACKING UP YARDS IN THE SUPER BOWL HE WAS GETTING JOCK'D. HE SHOULD OF BEEN MVP, WE ALL KNOW MANNINGS THE GREATEST AND WELL DESERVED BUT THAT DAY WAS DOMINICS DAY.

Rhodes wasn't going to stay in Indy anyway. Indy showed how important running backs where to them when they let Edge go.
His second arrest - has Cincinnati called him yet?
