Jim Nantz won't be leaving Georgia any time soon. The Final Four starts Saturday and concludes Monday in Atlanta, and then the Masters begins Thursday in Augusta. Nantz calls both events for CBS, and
a CBS press release dutifully notes,
Tuesday morning after the title game, as the madness gives way to spring's tranquil rite of passage, Nantz will take a leisurely two-hour drive across the state of Georgia to the majestic setting of Augusta National Golf Club to call his 22nd Masters®.
I'm sure Nantz will enjoy that leisurely drive as much as I've enjoyed
Norman Chad,
Complete Sports and
Deadspin poking fun at Nantz. Nothing against him personally, but Nantz does have a tendency to go a little too heavy on the puns, and although I like his smooth delivery, I think I'll be a little sick of him by Sunday of the Masters. And so will the state of Georgia.

1. The worst pun of Nantz' career was when UNC won it in 2005. Something along the line of "March Madness ends in April with [Sean] May." Ugh. And that was mere moments after declaring "there's a new Dean in town!!!" Whoa! Stop it Nantz-y!!
