A Tribute To Gus Johnson

With the Final Four upon us, and three games of Billy Packer's acerbic commentary on tap (who isn't even a sports fan!) - I think it's time we pay tribute to the man who puts the "Madness" in March Madness. Gus Johnson has given us a number of tremendous calls over the years, the one play by play guy in the whole CBS crew who allows his emotions as a fan to come through in much the same way as those of us sitting on the couch. When you were going nuts as Lewis sunk the 3 at the buzzer against Xavier to extend their tournament, who was providing the sound track that fit the occasion? Mr. Johnson, of course. What about 2 years ago when Sorrentine banged home a 3 from what seemed like halfcourt against Syracuse to help Vermont knock off the Orange? Gus Johnson, of course. When Julius Hodge and NCSU pulled off the stunner against UCONN? Oh yes, Gus Johnson.

So, in his honor, do yourself a favor listen to this awesome montage of great Gus Johnson calls. Heck, maybe you can just put it on repeat and mute your TV during the Final Four so you can pretend it's him and not Packer calling the games.

Gus Johnson - The Remix
