My buddy's a trainer for the Grizzlies. ... He went out with Ricky Davis and some friends in Memphis a few years ago before a game, Ricky Davis dragged everyone over to Graceland, drank 19 bottles of Patrone and eventually tried to set the Elvis memorial on fire! And he played the next night and nearly put up a triple-double!I know what you're thinking: That can't be true; there's no way to prove it.
But you're missing the point: It doesn't have to be true. It's crazy, it's funny, and it involves Ricky Davis. The same Ricky Davis who gets into it with opposing fans. The same Ricky Davis who once tried to get a triple double by shooting at the wrong rim so he could rebound his own miss. Clearly, I need to hang out with this guy.

4. I was there, too! Why is there no mention of the kilo of cocaine he snorted before impregnating an entire softball team, even though he was wearing 2 condoms and the girls were all on the pill? Later on, it was around 10 p.m., he stopped by McDonalds and ate 73 hamburgers (they were still frozen). Then he went home, read War&Peace with one eye while watching an entire season of 24 with the other, before he cried himself to sleep.

5. Patrone is a Tequila, not a vodka.
And the story was possibly referring to mini-bottles, which is highly unlikely, yet possible.

6. Did any of you actually read the Simmons article? He was talking about how Ricky Davis has done so much crazy stuff he's becoming legendary, then made up the above story to demonstrate it. It was a joke. Davis didn't actually drink 19 bottles of Patron and try to set Graceland on fire.
