The Word:

Edwards Dominates Busch, Hauler Driver Has A Tick

The Nextel Cup drivers rule the Busch Series this season.

Again.

Not that I have any issue with this, I mention only it because so many do and what better time to stir the pot?

Like Kevin Harvick did last year, Carl Edwards is dominating in 2007. His win at Dover International Raceway yesterday was only his first at the track, but it was his third win and 10th top 5 finish of the season.

I know Edwards doesn't have any issue driving both series. In one of his previous post-race interviews he mentioned he didn't know of any other racing series that prohibited drivers from competing based on similar criteria ... Why should the Busch series? I agree.

That said, the Dover 200 was nothing new: Cup drivers Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth running up front all day. Greg Biffle was the only other driver to lead a lap. Oh, except non-Cup driver Mike Wallace, who led like half a lap.

Do you think the sponsors mind that the Cup guys run in the Busch series?

Edwards hasn't even come close to winning a race in the Nextel Cup series this season--his best finish of 5th came at Darlington.

That's a problem.

As most of you reading know, the #99 Office Depot Ford hauler driver refuses to shave his beard between the car's visits to victory lane. A long while has passed since its last visit in November 2005 at Texas Motor Speedway. His shaggy beard is now host to parasites.
