The saga of Jason Giambi rolls on. After telling everyone he was sorry for doing "that stuff" -- and then taking a somewhat suspect trip to the DL -- Giambi has been asked specifically by Uncle Bud Selig to sit down with George Mitchell's investigation. That would make Giambi the first of his kind, as no other active players are known to have cooperated with Mitchell. This seems to be Giambi's punishment from Selig for making his "stuff" comments, remarks that were as ill-advised as they were scripted. Selig's request, at least to me, feels eerily like a high school teacher sending an unruly student to the dean's office. The teacher has lost control, has no recourse, and just wants the problem to go away. Sounds like Bud to me.
Giambi doesn't necessarily have to cooperate -- and after all, maybe baseball doesn't really want him to -- but any steroid-related info in that thick skull of Jason's would be, at the very least, sickly compelling.

1. If Jason Giambi is smart, He will retire and then testify about his use of performence enhancing drugs. Giambi's Career is over. No team should have anything to do with him. Do the right thing Jason.

4. Hey gooey...first of all what the hell kind of name is gooey? And secondly, Rob makes a great point. Do you really need to defend the roid-head? Is it worth your time? What if you're wrong? Everyone knows Bonds is juicing, and if you're defending giambi I can only assume that you are a yankees fan...You dont have any love for Sheff at all? Come on..he hasnt been gone that long. Could it be a little jealousy on your part because he plays for a good team and is hitting well and your Yankees blow this year? Dont hate! And if you have to hate spread that hate all around and give some to your own steroid addicted giambi!!!
