Rutgers in "Resurgence"

It may be June. The preview magazines may be hitting the shelves of newsstands. Fanhouse is moving to discussing the upcoming college football season. Not everyone, though, is ready to let us forget the 2006 season. The Rutgers-Louisville game was just named the "College Football Game of the Year," by the US Sports Academy.
Rutgers received a General Scholarship Award of $5000, a shadow box encasing a medallion and proclamation and Artist Proof #1 of foremost college football artist Daniel A. Moore's "Resurgence," which depicts Ray Rice's key run in the final drive of the Rutgers-Louisville game.
Daniel A. Moore is best known for his paintings of key moments from Alabama games and lately being sued by the Crimson Tide. You can see an image of the print here, which will be available to purchase in July.

Rutgers and Coach Greg Schiano are shilling their just released DVD season highlights to last season called "Pandamonium in Piscataway." Coach Schiano seems fully committed to promoting it.
"I just try to address it, be straight with them," he said. "Nobody cares (what you did last year). As a matter of fact, it only makes you more of a target."
That and having one of the incoming recruits being arrested and charged.
Rutgers officials are investigating the arrest of incoming recruit Desmond Wynn on recent charges of theft. Wynn, a 6-6, 250-pound defensive lineman who played at St. Mark's in Delaware, was charged with three counts of theft for under $1,000 and three counts of committing mischief after he admitted breaking into a locker at school and taking a cell phone, Blackberry and cash, according to a Delaware state police report.

Wynn told police he needed the money for the prom.
Tux rentals for a guy that size are probably a little more pricey.
