The Commercial Mrs. Steinbrenner Didn't Want You to See
That's a great ad, right? So ... how come it was buried for seven years? George Steinbrenner filmed that piece for adidas back in 1999, but according to Sports Business Radio, Steinbrenner's wife Joan banned the commercial from ever airing on TV because she wasn't comfortable with her husband showing so much skin. Not that I can blame her -- she probably wanted to keep that hunk of meat all to herself.
