Billy Knight is, without a doubt, one of the worst GM's in the NBA. There's a reason the Atlanta Hawks haven't made the Playoffs in what seems like an eternity. The guy is downright clueless. In fact, one could easily argue that Knight has been living in cave somewhere for the past 10 years, without access to a television, radio or newspaper.Billy Knight looked curiously at the picture on a wall and raised an eyebrow before asking the inevitable question.Shortly thereafter, Knight walked onto the Hawks' practice court and saw Josh Smith dunking all over the place. He then had security escort the high-flyer out the building because he had no idea who the hell he was.
"Who is that right there?" he asked Hawks vice president of public relations Arthur Triche before a game in Detroit in December.
"You've gotta be kidding me; you don't know who that is?" Triche responded incredulously. "That's Britney Spears."

Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be spending that time doing anything of use for his club.

2. I think it is you who is clueless. Knight has only been with the Hawks 4 years. He blew up a team of old underachieving veterans with large contracts, Alan Henderson ring a bell? Oh, I forget, you don't have a clue cause you don't watch sports. The old Hawks had no cap space, not stars wanting to join the club and a mediocre team. He has a vision and it is coming to fruition. Under his direction the Hawks have cap space, they have an all star JJ and all star in the making Josh Smith, A 6'9 lightning quick Power forward with a sweet jumper, April's rookie of the month (Sheldon), one of the top 6th man in FG % J-Childress and 2 top 11 picks in the upcoming draft. So you see it is you, doofus, who is living in a cave. Do us all a favor and close the opening behind you.

4. he should'nt even be a GM of the hawks, let alone one at all, if he doesn't know who Josh Smith is. He either needs a therapist BADLY or to be institutionalized.
