That supreme effort from Shane Victorino came during Monday night's game against the Astros in Houston while chasing a foul ball in the seventh inning with two outs and the bases loaded.
"Later, I realized it was not so smart of a play," Victorino said. "Fortunately, I ended up not being hurt. After I look at it on a replay, it was stupid. You've got to be smart. I have a career. I could've ended up hurting myself."That's what some people said when Aaron Rowand made an incredible catch against the Mets last season which caused Rowand to break his nose and go on the disabled list. But sales of shirts and jerseys with Rowand's name on them went up something like 500% after that catch. Victorino is already loved in Philly ... something tells me he's about to be loved a whole lot more.

You can catch a ball out of play...it's called an out. Why don't you watch baseball sometime?

No one can knock the way our boys play defense. Shane,Aaron,Chase and JoRo are the best in the business ! Mike Bourn's right there with them. If only we had some pitching,we would be leading the National league !

This is a repponse to the one two below. R U kiddign me that was an incredible play and the bases where loaded in the 7ve with two outs. That did count as the final out of the inning. Which basically allowed them to win the game.

Definitely great effort and catchbut, it does not put The Catch by Jeter to shame. In fact I think Jeter made the more difficult play.
