Former NFL Player, Announcer Bill Maas Arrested on Drug, Weapons Charges

Former NFL player and TV commentator Bill Maas was arrested in East Peoria, Illinois on Saturday night, a local television station is reporting.

Police say Maas seemed nervous so they asked to check his car.

He gave them permission to do the check and that's when police found a loaded 22-caliber revolver hand gun, 5 grams of cannabis, 6 grams of cocaine and 28 ecstasy pills.

Maas was arrested on felony drug and felony weapons charges.

Maas spent nine seasons playing defensive tackle for the Chiefs and one with the Packers. He's a two-time Pro Bowler and won the league's defensive rookie of the year award in 1984.
