Nike doesn't need me to give it any free advertising, but I must give credit where credit is due. This commercial featuring Tiger Woods extolling the virtues of Roger Federer is outstanding:
The key comes at the end, where Woods pokes a little fun at Federer.
The Woods-Federer friendship has been interesting to watch. They're the two best in the world at their sport, and they seem to really like each other -- even when Nike isn't paying them to appear together. I think his friendship with Woods might help Federer become more popular in America, which would be a good thing for tennis in this country.

The ad is good...congrats Nike! However, I must comment on the Rolex/Federer ad, which I consider perfect. Yes, true, I am a Federer fan...but all around the ad is pure class...from the watch to the tennis player. Someone's advertising brillance came through! Congrats to Rolex and Mr. Federer, too!

I, too like the commercial! I know from reading various reports in the media that Tiger usually does give a little dig to Roger about him being ahead in Grand Slam titles. Expect Roger to move one title closer Tiger, come Sunday! To the several users who commented that Serena should have been in the commercial. Don't think so! Tiger and Roger will probably both be considered to be the greatest ever in their respective sports. Serena, greatest ever female tennis player? Yeah, right! Don't make me laugh.

I love Nike ads. I believe Tiger has a lot of input into the ads. Fortunate for Nike that they have such class acts as Tiger and Federer to represent them. Both I beleve are good role models for the younger generation.

It's very nice to see any ads that Woods and Federer are in because they are the classiest guys in the sports world today....Thank goodness for intelligent, articulate, well-spoken, and classy young men. Whether Woods has an ad for Nike, Buick, or Rolex, his intelligence, sense of humor, and class come shining through. More athletes in any sports should follow the example of Woods and Federer! That's why I only tune in to watch their respective sports when either of them are playing.

I love how the ad was updated after Federer won today's match. Tiger stated that Roger had won 11 Grand Slam titles, whereas when the ad appeared Saturday Tiger stated that it was 10. Guess Mr. Woods had a premonition that his good buddy Roger would come through today. It was an awesome final! Kudos to Rafael for pushing Federer to a 5th set. No one had ever done so to Federer on the Centre court lawn at Wimbledon.

Best commercial I have ever seen. Two wonderful young men who are good friends and the best MEN in their sport. For these reasons and perhaps others, Serena does not belong in this commercial.

Delighted and charmed by the Nike ad featuring the two champions. Tiger Woods voiceover is elegant and cool, and of course Roger Federer is admirable and showing his growth as a player is inspiring. Nike ads are often exsceptional - the Pete Sampras black and white ad "...its a game" - comes to mind. Keep up the good work.

I seem to have seen all ads EXCEPT this one. Would really love to see it. Both men are indeed my favourite athletes, along with Ken Griffey,Jr, in baseball.

Lynette, you're right. Serena would have been great in the commercial, too. She's a Nike girl, has acted on tv shows, and she and Roger Federer were friends before Roger and Tiger were. The three of them would have been dynamic in a commercial together! The first time I saw the Tiger/Roger commercial on tv, I thought it was cool, though. Thanks for letting us see it again, MJD!

Jeffrey Lumpkin, are you joking? Serena Williams has won more majors than any other active female singles tennis players - 8! She is the best female tennis player in the world. Just as Roger and Tiger are the best in their respective arenas. Even Chris Evert has said ON CAMERA that the Williams sisters would have mopped the court with her. Venus Williams has now won 4 Wimbledons. Chris Evert "only" won 3, didn't she? And Serena, normally, is BETTER than Venus! Serena won her firs major at 17 years-old. Years YOUNGER than Tiger and Roger first won theirs.Serena has also had more acting experience than either Roger or Tiger and she would have been GREAT in a commercial with the both of them!

I see Serena, Tiger, and Roger in a commercial as Hermione, Harry Potter, and Ron - with permission from the Harry Potter books' author, J.K. Rowling, of course. That would be wonderful. Serena is friends with Roger, and Tiger has expressed admiration for Serena as seen in a book in which he was quoted by Charles Barkley. All three athletes are MAGNIFICENT!

I think it strange that someone has TRIED to "disparage" Serena Williams here - when Serena has won EIGHT majors - more than any other active female singles player in tennis. EIGHT (8) majors is how many Andre Agassi had at the END of his career. And he was justifiably treated like a KING at retirement. That Serena Williams has been able to persevere and win so decisively again despite the cold-blooded murder of a close family member and KNEE surgery - among other things - is AMAZING!
