Even though ESPN plans on showing Barry Bonds' at-bats heretofore until he eclipses Hank Aaron's all-time mark, they won't quite be shown live. From MLB's release on the matter:Effective July 20th, Major League Baseball's rightsholders and their affiliated networks are permitted to air up to a 60-second game-in-progress taped highlight, in any programming, immediately following each at-bat of Barry Bonds through the at-bat in which he hits home run #756. Entities permitted to air such highlights are: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPN on ABC, FOX, FOX News Channel, FOX Sports Net, FX, TBS, TNT and CNN.
All other television networks (local, regional or national) are permitted to air up to a 60-second game-in-progress taped highlight of Bonds' home runs #755 and #756 (i.e., only those two at-bats) in any programming.
This advisory does not authorize any live cut-ins by any network or any live or taped highlights by any on-line media.
This makes total sense because the network that happens to be broadcasting the game has exclusive "live" rights to the footage. (For more on this, I'll direct you back to Eric McErlain's piece about media broadcast rights and the like. He's much more well versed on the matter than I am.) Anyways, remember kids: if you're watching ESPN and the network cuts into a Bonds at-bat and the record is broken -- you didn't really see it live. You saw it on a small tape delay.
No biggie, right?

I may be in the minority here, but I hope Bonds gets intentionally walked every at-bat from now until his career ends. He isn't fit to carry Hank Aaron's athletic supporter, much less break his record.
Just my two cents.

If it were up to me, Bonds would be intentionally walked every at-bat for the rest of his career. He isn't even fit to carry Hank Aaron's athletic supporter.

I think everyone needs to do there reserch. Bonds is a fantastic ball player. Wether he did or did or didn't take something it is stii a great feat to get to where he is today. Reserch shows players were being investigated for a small pill called greenies back some time ago and people thought that was the end of baseball. The game has evolved and so has that little pill or "the clear",juice whatever it is. Bonds is a great player and so was AAron but the homerun record is at stake and will be broken in the next couple of games. Turn your back on Bonds and in a couple of years you will have his back just like people have Pete Rose's back now!!

If you don't like Barry Bonds breaking Hank Aaron's home run record because Barry behaves like Hugo Chavez at the United Nations calling President Bush the devil then don't look. History is being made and I am sure that another baseball player with a cleaner record and image will break Barry's home run record. Alex Rodriguez come on down you are the next contestant on Home Run Breaker.
