I'm an L.A. Lakers fan. I was not, however, a Smush Parker fan. At all. The guy was terrible at his job: inconsistent, moody, got burned on the defensive end night after night, took awful shots, and to top it all off, he honestly felt that he should have been getting more playing time. Now, he thinks going to Miami will solve all of his problems. And he took a swipe at Kobe Bryant as he left L.A.
For Parker, playing with Wade comes as a relief.Great, another reason to hate Smush Parker. He makes it too easy.
"D-Wade is more of a people person than Kobe," Parker said of Bryant, his often-mercurial teammate. "I'm looking forward to jelling with Wade, and playing with him. He's going to be a great teammate."

I'm sure Kobe is SO heartbroken over Smush leaving right now... There were games he was so ineffective, I would think back to the game and could not remember a single play he was involved in. Dude would literally be lost in the offense. He had some talent and he'd show off a move every so often but he'd basically take 9 games off for every one he'd play decent in.
Miami sure scraped the bottom of the barrel, I guess after missing out on like 10 free agents they had to get the one dude no one else wanted to make sure they signed someone. Frankly GP at age 39 is still 100 times better than Smush is...

Is there a picture where Kobe isn't so outwardly affectionate with his teammates?

Did Smush watch the NBA finals 2 years ago? Wade shot almost every time he touched the ball. Funny how no one ever mentions "ball hog" when the shots are going in....

Maybe Kobe would've been a little more personable if Smush didn't keep getting beaten off the dribble by EVERY PG in the league. If Smush could hit an open jumpshot, maybe Kobe would've invited him out for drinks more often.

With the addition of Fisher, the return of Mihm, and the development of Farmar and Bynum, the Lakers have the potential to do pretty well even in the tough Western Conference (if they can play like a team). If Kobe does not believe that and still wants to be traded, the various trade scenarios that have been previously talked about (http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=45097) would all appear to be better alternatives than playing with a disgruntled Kobe.

It Sounds like Marcel Mutoni Sees Smush like the rest of the World (OUTSIDE OF L.A.) sees KOBE!

I am tired of people using Smush as the scapegoat. He saved the front office which had a team with no point guard. Smush was a free agent that was cut before he got to the Lakers. He ended up being their starting guard all at minimum pay. Smush shot around 44% from the floor which is great for a point guard. From three he shot 37% and lead the team in steals and was their 4th leading scorer. As bad as people say Smush is he kept their prized first round draft pick on the bench until Phil Jackson got mad at him. So he saved the Lakers. Now you have Fisher and guess what he is a 33 year old point guard who shot 40% last year.lol

Smush should be quiet and just be thanful that another team wants his marginal talents.
