Golfer Rory Sabbatini is a disgrace. Sabbatini, you'll recall, is the guy who had a fan removed from a tournament last weekend because the fan asked him whether he still thought Tiger Woods was beatable. (Woods was in the process of beating Sabbatini at the time.)
But today the Akron Beacon Journal reports that Sabbatini doesn't hold himself to the same high standards that he holds the fans in Northeastern Ohio to:
Sabbatini's reaction was particularly inappropriate given his own lack of decorum. The sheriff's grandson was among those who heard multiple Sabbatini F-words when Woods chipped in on the ninth hole to essentially seal the win.
So, just to make clear, Rory Sabbatini thinks it's perfectly OK to use the most vulgar word in the English language in front of young fans, but if a fan casually asks Sabbatini whether he has changed his opinion of Tiger Woods, Sabbatini thinks that fan needs to be forcibly removed from the course. Why does the PGA Tour allow this jerk to treat the fans like that?Sorry, No Photos

Rory and Sergio; two foreigners who deserve each other.
Both seem to have the ability to act like jerks. For one, the profanity does not bother me near as much as Rory's thin skin. If you're that sensitive, brother, you really should consider leaving America and not returning. We have enough of our own idiots in this country, we don't need to add idiot foreigners to the mix.
The same applies to Sergio, a young man with obvious talent for the game, but very little in the manners and couth department. I never cared much for him, but after watching him hock a lugey into a cup a few weeks back, I knew for certain that he was just another punk kid with a little talent and nothing else. Really, was there ANYONE out there who was surprised when he CHOKED away the British Open this year?

Can we concentrate on the game. What has Rory done for the game of golf. Has he even won anything this year. How about Tiger? Has he done anything for the game of golf. I think so! Has he won this year! I think so. What is there left to talk about. Rory please stop making yourself look like a idiot.

We all know that Rory has made mistakes by making certain comments. He is not the first and won't be the last. Using vulgar language on TV is inexcusable. I have seen numerous players do it but none more than Tiger Woods. I wish he wood take some good advise and refrain from taking the Lords name in vain. All players other than Tiger Woods should let go of your frustrations and take your rightful places in the pecking order. You have to work to be number 1, and for some of you I am sorry to say that it is to late.

Maybe the public should put some pressure on the PGA to do something about this jerk Sabbatini.

michael david smith, you are the disgrace. americans go on and on about freedom of speech, and you say what you want about rory, yet he cant make a simple comment? You call rory all kinds of names, yet he cant say tiger is beatable? Is that now suddenly the worst thing ever to say? Federer is beatable, tiger is beatable, everyone is beatable, or else tiger would win every tournament.Tell me, are you twelve years old? Cause I cant believe a grown man whines about stuff like this. The worst of it is, rory is being attacked by people from america, while he has repeatedly showed his support for american troops. And by the way, for those who havent read a proper newspaper in a while, apartheid has been over for more than ten years.Get over it.

It's very obvious that Rory was an A$$$ again. Personally I don't care for Tiger to much either after he left Fuzzy Zoeller hanging a couple of years back. All it would have taken was a comment from Tiger and it would have ended & it wouldn't have cost Fuzzy millions of dollars.
Rory & Tiger belong together

PLEASE! Like Sabbatini, I too, would have been sorely upset, under the prevailing circumstances. And don't care for "ANY ONE" golfer ending up with MOST of the trophies! Arrogant Wood's ought to take a break and allow other worthwhile golfers a winning chance! Wishful thinking on my part.

joaoretiree, surely you jest. Rory cussing up a storm and saying the f-word SEVERAL times in a matter of seconds after his OPPONENT does well is NOT what Tiger does. Tiger has sometimes been angry with HIMSELF and said something after being disappointed in his OWN play ( as unfortunate as that is). I don't agree with the use of foul language at any time, but Rory's behavior is infinitely worse and is INEXCUSABLE, unsportsmanlike, and really borderline evil.

Scott Walker, are you serious. After Fuzzy Zoeller's comments about "those people" eating collard greens and fried chicken, he asked Tiger out to dinner to apologize. GRACIOUS, forgiving, humble, brilliant Tiger ACCEPTED Fuzzy's dinner invitation and MILLIONS of people have seen the press picture of them through the window of the restaurant eating and chatting! How many people do you think would have taken Fuzzy up on his invitation? It would have been entirely understandable if Tiger had declined. And not only did TIGER forgive Fuzzy, but Tiger Woods' own FATHER spoke kindly of Fuzzy and said he didn't think he was racist. MILLIONS of people heard him say those words out of his own MOUTH. In point of FACT, according to reports, it was Fuzzy Zoeller HIMSELF who, understanding that what he'd said sounded racist and jealous, ASKED at least one of his own lucrative endorsers to DROP him, since he didn't feel he was a proper representative. Again- Tiger was wonderful about the whole thing. As was his father. It was Fuzzy who dropped the ball for making the unfortunate comments in the first place.

Lulu, you are OBVIOUSLY joking. LOL Considering Tiger's victories and the weirdly unjustifiably arrogant things said by OTHER players, Tiger Woods is a SAINT! LOL And TRUE sports fans want to see the BEST win. Nobody with the sense God gave a GOOSE wants to see anybody "LET" someone else win. That's just plain RETARDED! LOL

Scott Walker, it is Rory and Sergio who belong together. Tiger Woods is WAAAAYYY above their ilk! Sergio spit a huge lugey into a golf cup his fellow competitors would have to put their hands in afterwards and whined no end just because Tiger is BETTER than he. And arrogant Rory dropped several loud f-bombs immediately after brilliant Tiger Woods made a birdie to defeat him. That is infinitely worse than expressing anger or disappointment about his OWN mistake
Btw, If some other players had microphones all around them and were followed the way Tiger is, we'd hear enough to make everyone's ears burn. Sad, but true.

Talk about losing dignity. At tournament's end, Rory's Dumbo-sized ears caught the wind, began to flap, and he flew above the course to the clubhouse in total humiliation over his crushing defeat. LOL

I remember being shocked to see Arnold Palmer say the "f" word. The young guys using it just didn't make up the word. Rory looked much WORSE for using it - a LOT - after his opponent did WELL, instead of just saying it after making a mistake of his own, though. That's just evil!

The best compliment you can bestow on a fool is to allow him to be his foolish self.....
Mr. Sabbatini is a fool of the first-water, and a bore to boot..... Allow him to dance in his own spotlight and it will dim, then extinguish! Sooner than later, we can hope, but assuredly!

first off, rory sabbatini is my hero. i love him.
it's funny, though, for people to say that a fan asking an obnoxious question threw him off his game. try to be a basketball player, you hear all sorts of ridicule. does anyone ever say that the thunderous roar of a packed stadium threw off their game? they'd get laughed at. if golf wants to prove itself a sport, athletes should endure the ridicule that hundreds of other pro athletes deal with out there.

It seems that anyone who doesn't kneel down at the alter of Tiger is arrogant or selfish. Nonsense. Tiger sulks and pouts as good as anyone. Any comment there? Of course not. What he has done for the game (oh, and for himself as well) is indisputable but irrelevant to his behaviour.

What Rory did was admirable. Why not challenge the best. In order to be the best you have to beat the best. Don't crucify a guy for believing in himself. As for TW he is a big boy and can handle his biz....Anytime someone speaks out of turn he puts them in their place..with his golf clubs. He beats them unmercifully. He has ruined DLove, the guy who dared to wear a red shirt on Sunday, the guy with the teeth, Sergio, The young guy who was #1 who keeps trying to come back ????., Tiger is a competitor and I truly think thrives on the challenge. I support Rory for trying to beat the best...keep trying.
