The bizarre lede of the day comes from Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star: With six first-round draft picks filling offensive skill positions, the Indianapolis Colts are unique among NFL teams. As anyone who's paid attention to the NFL draft the last few years can tell you, that's wrong -- hasn't Chappell heard of Matt Millen? The 2005 Detroit Lions had five first-round picks: Quarterback Joey Harrington, running back Kevin Jones and receivers Charles Rogers, Roy Williams and Mike Williams. I'm sure there are many other examples of teams with more than four first-round picks at skill positions, but the Lions are the obvious one.
No other franchise in NFL history has stocked its offensive arsenal with so many top picks. The closest: Pittsburgh in the 1970s and Dallas in the early '90s, with four each.
I wonder if maybe Chappell meant to say the Colts are unique among Super Bowl teams. That would make sense.

You're assuming that Millen actually stocked an arsenal. Three of those guys are gone, and a fourth is injured.
It's more like an Accrington Stanley than an Arsenal, really.
