Lovely Ladies of the WNBA

The other day my esteemed colleague Tom Ziller mentioned offhand that Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson of the Seattle Storm are "probably the best-looking players in the WNBA." With much love to Bird and LJ, I have to disagree with Tom here. The WNBA is full of many other beautiful women of all types, shapes, and colors. The photo gallery below showcases a few of my favorite pictures of these lovely ladies. Feel free to chime in with your favorites who I may have left out.

By the way, I do not in any way mean to contribute to the tension that exists in women's sports because of a tendency to recognize athletes for their looks more than their accomplishments -- I just felt like celebrating the beauty of a few of these accomplished women. It's ok to look sometimes (don't worry, no one will poke your eye out).

Is it true that the majority of the female players are Lesbian? So who are you showcasing these women to? More Women? Didn't Swoops swoop down from the Lesbo closet? I bet they all can "SCORE" pretty well.

I'm sure the percentage of lesbians in the WNBA isn't much different than the percentage of lesbians outside the WNBA. Being a lesbian doesn't make you want to play basketball, and playing basketball doesn't make you want to be a lesbian.

If you show Sue Bird in uniform all sweaty and put her up against the other ladies all fresh with make up and dressed up nice, you have a point..get a decent picture of her withthe same clothes and make up the other girls have in the pictures you hand-picked and you will see why sue bird is soooo much more attractive

James: I actually chose that picture of Sue Bird because I thought she looked beautiful, even being sweaty in the middle of a game. But you make a fair point!

Even still, I think there are a lot of other players who are equally or more beautiful than she is (just my own opinion, everyone will have different ideas).

You posters who are so critical about these ladies just crack me up. I'd wager that your opinion is colored by the fact that most of you don't get a second glance from any decent-looking woman, and certainly not from successful, attractive women such as these. Why don't you post your photos, and let us tee off on you?

Beautiful women indeed (not that that's necessary for me to appreciate their athletic talents, mind you, but beautiful nevertheless). Thank you. And did I miss the lovely and talented Swin Cash?

I also think Stacy Dales, Sidney Spencer, Swin Cash, & Tamika Catchings belong in there. I am sure I'm still missing quite a few. My biggest hearthrob is Sue Bird.

Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson hands down........ they're both extremly bangin and to top it off these two ladies can realy ball. thay can probably take on most of your boys on a 2on2. I for one would love to be PICKED and ROLLED by them all day.......
