I loved watching Michael Vick play football.
I say "loved" in the past tense, because I don't think I'll get to do it again. I believe Vick has played his last down in the NFL.
I never thought Vick was a great player, or even a very good player, but I did think he was an exciting player -- maybe the most exciting player in the NFL. When he had the ball in his hands, you never knew what was going to happen. I loved the excitement that came with the feeling that on any play, he could break off a 50-yard run, or throw a beautiful pass 60 yards downfield. I also loved the excitement that came with the feeling that on any play, he could throw an interception, or fumble, or take a sack, all of which he did way too often.
I don't agree with people like Dan Reeves, who thinks Vick is a basically good guy who got caught up in the wrong things. I think Vick is a criminal and a liar and a hypocrite, and I don't feel badly for him.
But I do feel badly for all the fans who won't have the opportunity to experience seeing Vick with the ball in his hands. Vick had a special gift. I'll miss watching him use it.

Agreed, he is a thug. His "above the law" mentality and others like him are being weeded out of the NFL. It's a little painful to watch, but the weeding may stop the NFL from falling into the cess pool the NBA is stuggling to climb our of.

I think Vick should have to build a nice kennel, for the dogs he has put a death sentence on. Have someone take care of them till their "natural death."
Peta could check on them. I would feel better, and he could show some remorse.

Hello somebody wake up. This is a jerk who flipped the finger to fans, didn't tell women he was herpes infected, allegedly, which is almost criminal in itself and displayed his total lack of caring by arrogantly pimp walking his way to court with that punk ass smirk on his face. I can't wait to see him pimp walk his way to prison. Good riddance scumbag.

I think NFL should check far enough back to see that Vick was a part of dog fighting long before his NFL career...Than fight to get back every penny he was paid to date...Then let him serve his time...Then let him pay them back with the money he makes from ESPN or another network as a anouncer,,,Like Irvin and Sanders and the rest of the Bad role models the hire after they are done playing the game...I'm sure Vick could mabey get the job before OJ.........

I couldn't have said it any better than Michael Smith. Vick lied to his fans, his team, his boss, and the NFL. The man basically had the world in the palm of his hands. But now the civilized world feels nothing for him but contempt.

Thank you, and not only did 'vick' have all that in his hands but he had a LOT of whimpering, decimated, bleeding young puppies in his hands as he drowned them, hung them, and electrocuted them. I say let the dogs take care of him and I love football. This guy was just one of many, many, many BIGTIME NFL/AFL; ABL/NBL; and all the rest of our National sports, who got away with far too much before getting caught. So much for the "snitches", gee, I just realized....w/out the two of his buddies, or cohorts testifying against him, he may have skated all through his seasons......UGLY THOUGHT..Jody.....

I don't understand why all of the above posts are relevant to a damn thing. Are all of you some "shadowed" 'vick' lovers or what? They guy will NEVER, EVER do any of the things you've all posted. He would never have a "kennel" and treat little sweet doggies (which I LOVE) as you are putting it, as if it could EVER happen. What is wrong w/you people? Are all of you HIGH on something serious? I can't believe what I've been reading. This creep is nothing special as an "NFL" player, and I, as a female, once had season tickets back in the day when Kenny Stabler was Q.B. and Madden, coach, and trust me....NO one but NO ONE is gonna miss this guy. He never had anything special going for him and he sure as he-- won't have a chance in the future and if I'm still alive and one of these dumba-- teams decide to give him a chance, SCR_ _ THE WHOLE TEAM that even THINKS of it. He had his chance, he blew it and he STILL WON'T SUFFER W/ALL THE MONEY FANS like "Y O U" or YOUS, have blown on games watching him. The CREEP, DOG MUTILATING SUCKER will never feel any remorse, if he was to at any point in time he NEVER would have gotten so much out of it and seemingly enjoyed TORTURING THE DOGS AFTER THEY DIDN'T LIVE UP TO HIS EXPECTATIONS.....how S I C K...vick boy. G'nite and adios forever to you FOOLS, from MamaG....Jody..

Well then when they go to college, make sure they get educated and not merely live in a holding tank for the NFL until they become of age and you all can watch how good they throw the football...But then again maybe the NFL needs to open a new wing for all the gangstas of the NFL, OJ can be the all time bronze leader of the gang....Bottom line, he killed dogs with his bare hands.....I hope the NFL enjoys paying him the balance of his millions, and if there was true justice, there would be a law making his money go to the animals he has turned into OJ dogs to rehabilitate them and let them live out their lives in peace in Florida
