The state secret... revealed! Demetrius Jones is Notre Dame's starting quarterback for Georgia Tech. So says Facebook,
according to Rakes of Mallow (also reproduced after the jump). Also so saying:
Ramblin' Racket, based on some Notre Dame students and their blog. Said students
took down their posting in the hopes of keeping the state secret of Weis E. Coyote, certified super-genius, under wraps:
Yeah, posted the starting QB earlier for Georgia Tech, but I left it up for like five minutes before I got my first comment asking me why I'd post it if Charlie wanted it kept a secret.
Answer: for credibility, mainly. Now that I've got the post archived and commented on, I'll hide it until after the game and then make it viewable again. And you will always know that you can trust my guarantees. Also, notice that the post did not contain his name so that anybody typing into google "starting QB will be..." would not get the answer right away.
But please don't think that I was gonna leave it up there for everyone to see all week.
Whoops. Cat's out of the bag. Demetrius Jones, who is Notre Dame's starting quarterback, is the starting quarterback of Notre Dame. Demetrius Jones. The running one who can't throw at all. Jones, Demetrius. Is the starting quarterback. Of Notre Dame. There's no way Georgia Tech will be able to prepare for a running quarterback, not after four years of enormous, statuesque, and highly accurate Reggie Ball. No sir.

1. All this, and Weis picks the worst passer out of the three to run a passing offense.
Unless he's rolling out the spread, this is only a move that allows the QB a chance to protect himself behind that offensive line against a fast, aggressive defense.

2. What are you basing your assessment of Jones' passing ability on? Did you go to high school with him or something? Because he has yet to throw a college pass.

6. So, does Jimmah redshirt, take over in a few weeks, or Jones have a stranglehold on the job forcing a transfer?

7. A quarterback with a decent arm but can run like the road runner? Good luck Demetrius leading Norte Dame to the championship game.

10. All the experts doubting Charlie's selection of Jones. Give me a break! Do any of you have a Super Bowl ring or even a high school ring for that matter. The answer to both ...... NOT! Although it certainly appears that the Irish are going to be in for a long season......the NCAA has decided that the games must be played before anyone is crucified for their poor play. Let's see what happens, personally, I think 7-5 might be a stretch but on the other hand they very well might get some help from above and Charlie of course and win a few more. By the way did I read or hear that Mr. Weiss actually made an announcement about the starting QB? The answer to that.....not! Go IRISH!
