Beware Giants fans, the ride I am about to take you on will make you more nauseous than any roller coaster you've ever experienced.Only hours after it was announced that running back Brandon Jacobs would miss 3-5 weeks, it was also revealed that defensive end Osi Umenyiora would be out for two months. Or, was it only one month? Wait, maybe he's only day-to-day.
Although there are three different reports with three different timetables, one thing remains the same; Umenyiora did suffer an injury to his lateral meniscus and he's likely to miss at least one game.
Now, if that made your head spin, then hang on! The news on quarterback Eli Manning is even more gut wrenching, and even more inconsistent.
Pro Football Talk is reporting that Peyton's younger brother could miss the entire season with his injury, while Adam Schefter of NFL Network is suggesting that Manning will be out until September 30th with a separated shoulder. Unfortunately, those two reports are only the tip of the iceberg. Chris Mortensen of ESPN also reported that Eli suffered a slight shoulder separation, and would be out until October 15th.
Meanwhile, back in New York, the Giants have announced that Manning's injury is not serious. According to a team press release, he has a contusion to the right A-C joint and is listed as day-to-day.
So, who is what? I honestly have no idea. But what I do know is that I'm very dizzy, so I am going to grab some dramamine and lay down.
Note: PFT has made it very clear that their report is based on a rumor.

Given the ferrocity of the N.F.L.it's imperative that each team have two quality quaterbacks.
Otherwise, the season is over if the starting quaterback sustains a serious injury.
Clearly, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the aformentioned!
