Now Ward has been fined $5,000 for the hit. Holly thinks it was a cheap shot:
''I'd say 90 percent of the time when you're in the league that long, I don't feel it was a real respectful shot,'' Holly said of Ward, a 10-year veteran. ''The game was well in hand for them. He kinda hit me with a shot I didn't think was appropriate.''I don't know what difference it makes how long he's been in the league, but I agree with Holly. Although Ward says he apologized afterward, and although I admire Ward for being the tough blocker that he is, that hit was over the line. Holly suffered a concussion but is expected to play on Sunday.

3. Well, Ward could have let up on the play but he's blocking and he's not looking for someone to give a hit like that on a play! Plus they tell you to keep your head up in those situations!!!!!!! - Not run down the field with your head down!....LOL

6. It's the Browns, of course some one is gonna hit someone... Hines is a quality player and a classy guy. What I want to know is what Holly said to make him mad enough to hit him, knowing that he would probably get fined. The other thing I'd like to know is when will the seahawks fans quit whining...

7. Jenga tell me how the hawks only scored 10 points in that SB with the supposedly #1 Offence in the leauge??? The Steelers get called for farting ffs, face it WE beat you fair & square, the refs made a couple of bad calls I agree, but watching the officials official guy on the NFL network explain it all showed EVERYONE that the refs did not hand us the game. Suck it up and accept the loss like a real football fan!

8. For the Browns ... Football is a tough sport. I can understand how the players always have their heads down. Why look up? It's going to be a long season in Cleveland. For the Seattle Fans ... Move on! The game was played and you lost. How stupid was the penalty in the end zone for pushing off in front of the Ref?

9. Ward was responding to Kellen Winslow exploding a Steeler DB earlier in the game. The difference was that K2s came during a play. I'm a Browns fan but must say that this is football not ice dancing. Let the boys hit, bite, kick or crap on each other. This is how these two teams played in the 70's and 80's and it was GREAT theater!!!

The browns need to toughen up.maybe if they start hitting and making things happen like the steelers they wont be in the basement.This is football things like this happen .He wasnt hurt on the play thats a good thing .just remember the other people are hitting and thats how you win games.browns get tougher
