Ask Strahan About Favre, Get Called an Idiot
Mental note: Don't ask Michael Strahan anything about Brett Favre and sacks. Brett Favre and sacks makes him angry, and you won't like him when he's angry. Last Friday, before the Packers dismantled the Giants, MSG's Anthony Fucilli ("Fooch" to friends, family and Strahan) had the nerve to pose the following question: "Wouldn't it ironic to break Lawrence Taylor's Giants sack record against Brett Favre?"
Oh, the humanity of it all.
In case you need a refresher, the last time the two teams met, in 2001, Favre allegedly gifted Strahan a sack, allowing the defensive end to set the NFL's single-season sack record at 22.5. Apparently, he's still a little touchy about it. Duly noted.

Brett Favre did give Michael Strahan a sack to break Mark Gastineau's season sack record. Talk about cheaters.

When is everyone going to realize the media and their questions, whether too personal or ridiculous, is the problem. Put yourself in the athletes shoes and think about how all the media is trying to outdo one another by answer various types of questions. I think you would get frustrated too.

On the one hand, I don't think Strahan asked Favre to do that but on the other hand it really makes the record bogus. Strahan could have been a bigger man by not accepting the sack because Favre had no intention of throwing the ball so it was just a running play with a loss. The only person that handled the situation professionally was Gastineau.
Strahan had a great year but he didn't deserve the record.
