Ever since he called Bill Belichick and the Patriots classless following the Chargers loss in the AFC playoffs last year, there has been a great deal of bad blood brewing between San Diego and New England. Couple that incident with Tomlinson's remarks that he's not surprised by the Patriots cheating, and the disrespect the Chargers showed to Cedric Benson this week, and there was no doubt the Chargers wanted a win. Badly. And perhaps nobody wanted it as much as LaDainian Tomlinson.Frustrated throughout a largely uneventful day for the Chargers offense in which he was held to 58 combined yards and no touchdowns, LaDainian Tomlinson fought back tears throughout his postgame press conference. Even though he may have been out of line for calling the Patriots classless last year, I really can't help but be drawn to a player who cares as much as LT does. Tell me that in this day in age of athletes who take plays off during games, dog it in practice, sit out training camp, and hold out for more money, that Tomlinson's genuine display of dismay doesn't move you as a sports fan. It's those acts of sincerity and innocence that make it easier to root for LaDainian and the Chargers, and leaves me more satisfied as a fan knowing that some players want to win their games as badly as he does.

I thought during Pats win in SD LT whined way too much, was incredibly derogatory following it and the comments he made this week about the Patriots cheating scandal was simply smug and obnoxious. I think people confuse soft spoken with classy regarding him. He cares, sure, but he's a baby. If he handles himself better in humility going forward, I might change my view.

It's become "hypocrites on parade" this week. Coaches, players, all lining up to cast stones against that jerk, Bill. None of THEM cheats, or has cheaters on THEIR team. Every team tries to steal signals, but he gets caught. I steal USED cars, but that CROOK steals BMW's and go arrested. Dirty filthy crook.
Mangini used to work for the Pats, presumably when Bill was doing the same thing. No moral indignation then, right? He used to be part of the car-stealing ring, but calls the cops when they steal HIS car. LOL.
The day of reckoning is coming for the hypocrites. Better make sure their houses are squaky clean.

LT's mouth wrote a check the San Diego Chargers couldn't cash. He has no class (just look at the ear bling -- they probably caused physical damage and caused him to tear up!). He's just full of himself and thinks that the little success he has had gives him the right to whine and complain. Just play ball -- that's what they pay you for and stop cranking off your opponents before the game or your teammates may get a little cranky with you. He would not fit in on the Patriots. They are men.

And you have to respect this man for choking back tears after takeing a second spanking from that Coach, Q.B. and organization in nine months? You respect LT for caring about winning and losing? Fine. However, it seems to me that he is hardly alone in this category in the NFL. He's just happens to be a player with great production who is media-friendly. There are many, many players who care, about winning, their team, doing their best and all that. However, most players don't call out and ridicule their opponents. And most players don't refer to themselves as being "classy." Seems as though LT has let his personal success in recent years lead to a sense of entitlement.
