I know Chad Henne has sucked and been injured this year, but Anthony Morelli has always sucked, and would actually probably be more valuable to Penn State if he wasn't injured (by being less negatively valuable). And like 30 other QB's could be argued better than Morelli.

It's funny that you mention that, Brian. I called out Kiper for the same thing during my Penn State perview last Friday. The very same one where I credited you for finding that hilarious JoePa quote about snapping the ball to Hart.

I really don't understand all of the hate for Kiper on the AOL sports blog. He built the NFL draft in to what it is for NFL fans. Now everyone's an expert and wants to crush him.

This blog is somewhat inaccurate because the blogger has the knowledge of the Michigan game...something Kiper didn't have when these rankings came out LAST WEEK. I see that's left out of this blog entry. Also, not sure if you watched the ND game or not, but there's not a real need to throw the ball too much when you're up by 21 early.

Here's what Morelli had done when these rankings came out: 55 for 87 (63.2%) for 628 yards (7.2 YPA) with 8 TD's and 1 INT. Not half bad considering he has no Mike Hart, Mario Manningham, or Jake Long for you Henne lovers.

the king adrock, Jesus you have got to be kidding me. Anthony Morelli is HORRIBLE and has been for some time. I don't care what his stats were against FIU, BUFFALO, and NOTRE DAME (circa 2007), he sucks. If Mel Kiper knew anything, he'd know that much...so yeah maybe he didn't know about Michigan at the time, but anyone who knows anything about Morelli knows he is NOT even close to a top 5 QB. Period.

And about the "and he doesn't have Mike Hart, Mario Manningham, or Jake Long" comment, you have also got to be kidding me. You don't need a Hart, Manningham, or Long to look good against the three teams PSU has played previous to UM. You act like Morelli's got a bunch of scrubs playing in the hardest contests ever. He's playing FIU, Buffalo, and a really really bad ND team with Austin Scott, Derrick Williams, Andrew Quarless, Chris Bell,(who were all highly touted recruits out of H.S.)not to mention Norwood, and Butler. Not exactly what I'd consider lacking in the talent dept. And anyways, Manningham is a creation of Henne, not the other way around, so that's that.
