Make it five in a row for the Louisville Cardinals over the Cincinnati Bearcats for the Keg O' Nails. This was the first time in quite a while where the Cardinals weren't the favorite, but Louisville still pulled off the 28-24 upset. Louisville's Brian Brohm was happy to have his favorite target, Harry Douglas back for this game, connecting 7 times for 118 yards.Cincinnati came out and turned the ball over four times in the game. Twice the Bearcats fumbled deep in Louisville's end to give up points that any team needs to beat Louisville. Last week, Cinci played a sloppy first half against Rutgers, but tightened up in the second half to take the game. This time, the Bearcats never quite got it.
Cinci piled up the yards, but those turnovers killed them this game. Up until this loss, Cinci had been the team generating the turnovers. Against the Louisville offense, they couldn't create a single one. The loss likely will cost Cinci its top-25 ranking and missed the briefest window to lay claim to the longest 1-A winning streak.
