With the NFL trading deadline set to expire Tuesday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs have traded running back Michael Bennett to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The news comes from the Kansas City Star, and it comes amid reports that it appears likely that Priest Holmes really will return to the Chiefs after missing two years with head and neck injuries. He's eligible to return as soon as this week.
Bennett is one of the fastest players in the NFL -- he was a track star in college -- but he's been mostly a disappointment for the Chiefs, Arrowhead Addict notes. Still, for the Bucs, he represents a solid addition to a team that has already lost Cadillac Williams and Mike Alstott to season-ending injuries, as well as Michael Pittman for an extended period.
It is not clear what the Bucs gave up to acquire Bennett.

He may be fast, but he also goes down easy and can't catch very well. Hope the Tampa O-line can open some gaping holes for him or he's going to be one more Tampa RB on the IR
