How does Rocktober© work? Are they actually going to be able to copyright it? If one were to just nonchalantly throw Rocktober© in one's casual vernacular, could he or she be slapped with cuffs and hauled downtown for processing? If a convicted felon's last word on the electric chair was Rocktober©, would he or she be granted a stay of execution while they prosecute his or her new criminal offense? Will they still be able to show Scooby-Doo Halloween specials without fear of patent infringement?I'm not done; I have more questions. In the state of Colorado, does Rocktober© take the place of October, or is it appended to calendars as a thirteenth month? If the latter, will Colorado lawmakers shorten the length of seconds, minutes, or hours so as to make room for Rocktober© while ensuring that our modern calendar's correlation with the Earth's rotation around the Sun is not compromised? Are the Rockies too foolhardy to ask themselves these questions?
Sorry, I just can't help but worry over the logistics of this. None of my questions are answered in the latest Dugout, after the jump.

Body: THE ROCKIES ARE GOING TO THE BIG SHOW!!! That's right, for those of you have not been paying attention the Rockies have won 21 out of their last 22 games. I LOVE OCTOBER (or should I say ROCKtober?) I'm in Iraq but it makes life a little better knowing that some good Colorado boys are going to the World Series. Let me know what you think about the Rockies. (side note) I know a lot of you are wondering. I have been a life long Red Sox fan. Well, yes, I am. But my NL team is the Rockies and what's more they are the home team. So I'm just in heaven cause both my teams are still playing in October. So there!

4. You can't copyright a single word. They are trying to get trademark protection which is completely different.
That being said, they are unlikely to get protection for this. It's pretty generic.

7. How's it spelled? Rocktober or Roctober? Is the 'k' necessary. Came across this site that drops the 'c' = roktober. Would that also be protected by the trademark?
