You know, I'm all for the Dolphins just calling it a season, and the entire team holing up in a hyperbaric chamber until Baby New Year makes an appearance. Because, frankly, 2007 has been a train wreck. Or more specifically, a car wreck:
To cap another dismal day for the winless Miami Dolphins, middle linebacker Zach Thomas wrecked his vehicle on the way home from the latest loss. Thomas' vehicle was damaged when rear-ended on the Florida Turnpike, but he and his wife were unhurt, the team said. When you and your wife can walk away from a car accident, and that's the highlight of your day ... well, you've had a pretty crappy go of it.
And given how the Dolphins "performed" on Sunday against the Patriots -- they trailed 42-7 at the half, and Tom Brady had FIVE touchdown passes -- I'm kinda surprised Thomas' car wasn't hit by an asteroid.
The good news is that Miami has their bye week after Week 8. The bad news : they have to travel all the way to London to lose to the Giants before getting a little time off. Given how things have gone so far, the Dolphins might want a charter a boat to get to England. Just avoid the North Atlantic.

Just want to wish Zach a speedy recovery and that my prayers are with him. I know Zach from Texas Tech. Had class with him the first summer session in 1994. It was a Motor Skills Development class for children and I was his partner. He made me a Dolphin fan for life!! I'm the little Mexican girl who taught a lesson with him. Wish you well!! You have a fan in El Paso!! God Bless you.
