Honestly, I didn't realize people were still talking about this, but just in case you missed the news, oh, 11 days ago (!!), Mark Cuban is not interested in trading for Kobe Bryant from the Lakers. ESPN caught up with Cuban during Wednesday's game between the Mavs and Cavs:"We haven't talked to them," Cuban told ESPN's Lisa Salters during a sideline interview. "It's not going to happen. We've got a great squad. We like it."Presenting this as "news" is a bit of a stretch, but getting him to reiterate the point makes for good TV, I suppose, so I can't fault ESPN for beating this horse dead.
Cuban was asked if the team has any interest at all in Bryant.
"We're always looking for bargains, but I don't think they're going to give us any bargains," he said.
What I did find interesting, though, was that the article linked above had confirmation from Ric Bucher that the Lakers, Kings and Bulls did in fact have talks regarding a potential three-way deal. I know this was a hot topic Wednesday on talk radio and team blogs (Chi-town view, Sactown view) alike, but this is the first I've heard someone vouch these teams actually spoke, even if talks have since stalled and/or fallen through.
This stuff isn't ending any time soon, I hope you like these Kobe Bean updates.

Yes, I LOVE Kobe Bean Bryant and if he goes, I will watch the team he is on. The Lakers organization SUCKS with all their lies to Kobe, to Shaq ---that is why Shaq left. He left because they wouldn't even talk to him at a certain point. Kobe says he sees why Shaq left and didn't realize what was going on, but he knows now. The Buss family lied to him when he had a chance to go to any team 3 years, but decided to stay because they promised him they would get someone in to help develop the team into a high caliber team. But NOOOO! They haven't brought anybody there...just lied! He has every right to complain when he just wants to be given a chance to win. Who's on the team now that worth anything...just think about it. The only ones that try consistently are J. Farmar and maybe Ronny Turiaf. Everybody else is weak and everybody knows it!

Kobe goes for 45. Lakers lose. Most Laker fans would be happy with Kobe goes fof 26. Lakers win, but Bryant just can't let the "team" play. After all its his ball and he'll take it home if he can't miss 28 shots when the team loses by 1.
Trying to take credit for Shaq's achievements only shows how weak Bryant is ethically. He has won zip without Shaq. Of course, I suspected his ethics when he started raping girls and buying his wife $7M rings when she complained about it. I'm looking forward to the rapist being traded, the sooner the better.

It would be better for Kobe to disappear for awhile. He is in a No-Win situation. He wants to be traded but no team wants him. Just disappear Kobe, come back when you are grown up and ready to play team basketball.
