We've all known it was coming, we just had no idea when. Since the dawn of man, we have long predicted our own downfall. Be it timelines found on the walls of Egyptian pyramids, or predictions from men like Nostradamus, everybody is pretty sure this world of ours is going to end.Today we have yet one more sign that the world, at least as we know it, is going to end, and it will end very shortly.
Notre Dame is favored this weekend. By 3.5 points no less!
Get your goodbyes out of the way now, kids.
Of course, the Irish aren't favored because they're a good team or anything, it's just because they're playing against Navy. The Irish haven't lost to the Midshipmen in 44 years, and are 70-9-1 all time against the service academy. It's the longest win streak against one opponent in all of college football.
All of which makes me wonder if this isn't the year that Notre Dame finally loses to Navy. You would think that the Irish should win this game on talent alone, and also for the fact that they had an extra week to prepare after having last Saturday off, but I remind you: Notre Dame really, really sucks this year.
If the Irish do somehow manage to find a way to blow this one, I'm thinking Charlie Weis needs to be fired on Sunday.

2. How many teams have beaten USC, Michigan (after their first 2 losses), Penn St., etc. in a rebuilding year for them? How many have done it with a rookie QB and a crappy O-line. So honestly does ND really suck or are they just building for th next 2 years? Navy is the team that REALLY, REALLY sucks and there is no way the Irish lose to them.

4. Charlie Weiss is an idiot! Kick the field goal from the Navy 23 yard line and Notre Dame wins the game in regulation! It's that simple. Weiss gave the game to Navy and lost his players confidence! Weiss is over rated and needs to go!! News Flash!!! Nick Saban just quit Bama and is now headed to Notre Dame!!! Lol.....

5. Notre Dame has itself to blame! Until they join a conference and start getting treated like everyone else they are going to decline. Join the Big Ten and start rebuilding your program! Until then enjoy getting your asses beat with a moron coach! How simple would it have been to kick a game winning field goal from Navy's 23 yard line???? Weiss must go!!!

6. Did the NBC announcers really say that the 4th down pass completed by the 3rd string quarterback on a 1-7 team against a team that is 4-4 "is what legends are made of"
This is just another reason why there is so much disdain for ND. Their hometown announcers make idiotic statements such as this!

7. How about that ND home cooking by the officials on the pass interference call on the 2 pt. conversion in double overtime??
Worst blown call I have seen in quite a while.
But.....it was all worth it because ND got beaten by NAVY!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
NOTRE DAME SUCKS!!!!
You Flaccid Irish Fans are getting everything you deserve.
ONE AND EIGHT BABY!!!
GO AIR FORCE!

8. I thought ND had assembled an "all-star" cast of assistant coaches and top 20 recruiting classes the last 2 years under Weis. How can they lose to inferior athletes, although courageous and determined, if not because of bad coaching? Somebody better explain to Weis that in college football, you won't get a No. 1 overall draft pick for the worst record like you do in the pros. To me, he just says the right things but really there is no accountability, it's like a broken record. I haven't seen any improvement from week 1 until now.

9. Hey, Leprechaun Breath! You played at home. You had a week off to prepare. You even had your bought refs handing out those bogus calls, including that BS "pass interference" at the end. AND YOU STILL LOST! Wait 'til Duke shows up - you'll see what an a$$ whipping really looks like!
Q: How do you spell Notre Dame?
