With the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers in overtime, Cardinals kicker Neil Rackers lined up for a 27-yard game-winning field goal. The kick was good and the Cardinals started to celebrate. But there was just one problem. The ball was snapped just an instant after the play clock hit zero, meaning there was no play. Instead, the Cardinals were called for delay of game.
Ordinarily, you'd say it's no big deal. Rackers will still be money from 32 yards, right? Wrong. He missed it wide to the left, and overtime continued.
And then when the Cardinals got the ball again in overtime, Kurt Warner fumbled in the end zone and the 49ers recovered for the game-winning touchdown and one of the more improbable results of the year.

The Arizona Cardinals have to be kicking themselves for losing a game they thought they had won.

Rackers chokes, again! No excuse for that. Cards should be looking for a new kicker. He's like the rest of the Card player's, all brawn, no brains.
