One team admitted it called the Eagles before the trade deadline to inquire about McNabb only to be told that Philadelphia wanted three first-round picks in return for its veteran quarterback.Demanding three first round draft picks for McNabb is basically the Eagles way of saying, "thanks, but no thanks." It will certainly be an interesting off season in Philadelphia with the quarterback situation less stable than it's been in a decade.
When teams inquire about McNabb this off-season -– and there will be, at the very least, a small line of them with all the organizations in need of a quarterback -- the Eagles' asking price will determine whether or not the face of their franchise returns.
In other relevant McNabb news, there has been discussion following Sunday's game on the double standard that exists in Philadelphia between Donovan and backup A.J. Feeley. McNabb also wrote on his blog that watching A.J. go out and perform well on Sunday night was not "bittersweet."

2. I'd MAYBE trade three first round picks for Brady or Manning, but McNabb? Huh???
Perhaps a late first round pick, but that's it.

3. With this little news item, it shows THEY'RE THINKING!!, when in the past, all you got was,"No Way!", "We'd be crazy to even consider trading him!" maybe the "light" is starting to "twinkle" about just how long McNabbs' value to the team is worth to them???

4. McNabb isn't even worth one first round anymore.

5. Being from philly, i can say with complete confidence that all philly sports teams suck! I would bet real money that someone in these organizations have found a way to make money on these teams losing. The problems with these teams is: they don't know talent when they see it. they don;t know what to do with talent when thye luck up and and get it. the real talents basically coach themselves. the organization whats something for nothing, they dont way to be asked for more money, if they dont offer it to you then forget it. there is no self respect about being a pro (go to any nite club and see who's there) coaches cannot coach or teach, and lack imaginative and productive play developement and play calling skills. there are few to no players who have left a philly team with anything good to say about that team. good players that leave go on to be great player elsewhere, crappy players (who where starters) get almost immediately cut from other teams (if they make it that far). If philly teams have a good year, trust me, the next year will suck because the players that got them there will either be pissed and not want to play or already gone. It's the philly way.

6. I have never understood why people thought mcnabb was a great quarterback. he's a good QB sometimes at best. a great QB is far more consistent than mcnabb has ever been. I dont ever remember reading or hearing any eagle player singing mcnabb's praises.they just say little to nothing. he's been hurt almost as much as healthy. he can be emotionally taken out of the game rather easily. his contibution to that T.O. debacle was that of a pure punk! instead of just stepping to T.O. man to man, he hid behind have a team meeting and asking "if anyone has a problem..." pure punk. the eagles seem to play better ball when mcnabb is not in there. I think they should just cut him, stop making pretend he's something valuable, if another team wants him (chicago) let them have him. He's really no good to the eagles and if he, perchance, does have the ability to be great the eagle organization does not have anything close to the I.Q. skills to bring it out

7. The Eagles keep telling their fans that they are "building for the future", the pyramids of Geeza didn't take this long to build, and with the likes of McNabb being their cornerstone, glad they don't work for Extreme Makeover with a blueprint showing that type of thinking, because a strong win would blow that house down.
