Yes, it's time for Marvin, the Duck of Infinite Inexplicability.Right, so a turn from dream to potential nightmare for Michigan fans:
You could say that this is just as unreliable as the ESPN thing, but this "release within the hour" business suggests otherwise. It should show up in the next 30 minutes or so.Sources close to both Les Miles and the LSU administration report the coach has reached a multi-year contract extension with his current school and will remove himself from consideration as the next Michigan coach.
A release will be forthcoming within the hour.
At this point it's clear we should wait until someone says something officially official with maximum officialness before any strident declarations are made.
UPDATE: ESPN just broke in to the UCF-Tulsa game to re-report Les Miles to Michigan. Fun!

Michigan AD dropped the ball on this . If he hadn,t asked for permission to speak to miles on wednesday ( very disrespectful ) and hadn't leaked to espn that miles was a done deal to coach michigan , miles would be going to michigan . They didn't show miles and lsu the respect they deserve and that pissed miles off . He has already told his team he is not going to leave lsu .

ESPN's website is reporting both that Miles is headed to Michigan and that he's staying at LSU. One's written, one's a video.

I think Miles would have gone to Michigan if it were not for ESPN and the other media outlets who not only speculated on his hiring, but reported it as fact. This is an example of the media not just reporting the news, but making the news.
