You could talk all day about the Arizona Cardinals rebounding after an improbable loss to the San Francisco 49ers last week, but it would be irrelevant. Despite what the paper and the box score will say tomorrow, the Cleveland Browns beat them this afternoon. According to everyone but the game officials, that is.
With .00 left on the clock, Derek Anderson hit Kellen Winslow Jr. in the endzone for what appeared to be the game winning touchdown. However, upon
It was the incorrect call, but in the end, it won't make any difference. They can complain to the league all they want, but the bottom line remains the same: The Browns fall to 7-5, while the Cardinals improve to 6-6.
Unfortunately for the Cardinals, this controversial win came at a cost. Despite the victory an impressive turn back the clock-like performance courtesy of Edgerrin James, things will taste sour due to an injury to Anquan Boldin.
Final Score: Cardinals 27 - Browns 21

1. As somebody who actually watched the game, I can correct you that Winslow was never ruled to have caught the ball. Also, the referees failed to overturn two plays that the replays clearly showed were incorrect calls, both going against the Cardinals. If anything, the refs tried to hand the Browns the game, but the Browns wouldn't take it.

2. that is total bull, he was forced out and the call should be overturned, i saw the game too buddy and there were over 11 fouls called on the cardinals because da they made them. yes the nfl will not do anything because they are a--h*&^

3. ...said the cardinals fan. The unbiased viewer knows that the referees botched a textbook force-out call. Browns win. The NFL needs to fix the rule on what can and cannot be reviewed.

4. For what it's worth, I watched the game and I am a Cardinals (and Giants) fan.
It was a bogus call.

5. Larry Fitzgerald was injured BEFORE the game and was inactive.

6. It was a bad call but it is not reviewable. Once the call on the field was made the only thing the refs were permitted to review via replay was whether or not he was inbounds (which he was not). By rule, the refs are not allowed to reverse a call via replay if a player was forced out. It seems that rule needs to change.

7. The NFL is a billion dollar business. Why in the hell do they allow PART TIME employees to make major decisions. Do you think Exxon asks the guy who cleans the office on Saturdays what he thinks?

8. That was a bad call, the competition committee needs to make force outs reviewable.

9. In the recent Browns/Ravens meeting, the head official reversed a poor, game-changing call based on a "discussion"...not a review. The entire NFL audience knew that a field goal could not officially be "reviewed", but the following week all the analysts and journalists boasted the officials getting the call right. That should have been the case here. I guarantee when he was under the hood reviewing the play, most of that two minutes was spent toiling with the reality that he had to come out and stick it to the rightful winners.

10. Personally, I think the call was BS but it was not a reviewable call, judgement calls on whether or not a player was forced out cannot be reviewed. Nonetheless, twice previously, the officials made a bad call upholding bad calls on plays that clearly should have gone Arizona's way (and I was rooting for Cleveland). If anything, instant replay should be changed to allow ALL game changing plays (pass interference, field goals, force outs, etc). Offciating was pretty horrendous throughout the game, sometimes in Arizona's favor, sometimes in Clevelands.

13. The Cardinals suck. The Browns should have had the game won long before that, and helped my Seahawks out, now we get to do what you Browns couldn't kick some ass. Hey at least you beat the us. :)

14. No offense, but the call was close. Last year, Cleveland got a gift win on a much more blatant force-out situation.

15. The ZEBRAS messed up more than just this game...lots of bad calls all over the league....Colts game may have been fixed...Sure looked that way.

16. Everyone gets bum calls at some point. Deal with it. Frankly, if the Browns were ment to win this game, or could have won this game, they would have been ahead, and been taking a knee. The fact was it was a tight game, and it came down to the last play, which the reciver could not haul in.
What I saw on replay was the reciver getting the ball as he was moving out of bounds. Be happy, the Browns are not in the AFC North basement and have a chance to make the playoffs.

18. Having been at the game and in the end zone, it was clearly a touchdown. Even Cardinals fans agreed with that. Plain and simple.

19. #15 all I can say is thank you for the refs. They clearly made the four td catches that manning threw. And they must have intercepted the ball from gerrard to. Please, you must be a Pats fan, therefore anything the Colt's do, they are cheating. The only team caught cheating this year is the Pats. Please don't put the Colt's in the same league as them. Not taking anything away from the Patriots, they are playing phenomenally, but the Colt's aren't anyone to shake a leg at. It will be interesting to see who the better teams are in the playoff. At that point all the regular wins and losses make no differece. It's who is victorious in the end.
