Something rather shocking is going on tonight on Monday Night Football: The Baltimore Ravens are leading the New England Patriots. Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is playing a very good game, looking more like the Lewis of six or seven years ago than the Lewis of the last couple of years. The Patriots' offense was held to a field goal after a long opening drive and hasn't been able to do anything since.
Even more surprisingly, Ravens quarterback Kyle Boller is looking like an actual, honest-to-goodness NFL quarterback. Boller has completed seven of 11 passes for 92 yards, with a touchdown and no interception.
This is still the Ravens against the Patriots, so don't jump to any conclusions just yet, but we have a ball game on our hands on a cold night in Baltimore.

2. I love a good upset, and this is shaping up to be one. Go Ravens! If the Pats go undefeated, they had better earn it.

3. i am not the least bit surprised that new england came back to win this one. you all should see what is going on here it's obvious. think about last year when the colts had a good rush defense, then they clinched the playoffs and all the sudden they sucked against the run, and then they get to the playoffs and wala, they are good against the run again.
that's what is happening here. bellichick is fooling us into thinking that the pats can be beaten a certain way, but then he's going to keep squeezing out these victories in the end. and don't be surprised if the pats lose a bunch if they do end up losing one before the playoffs because that's the trick, trick these guys into thinking that something that really doesn't work does work! Dungy did it last year, and now Bellichick is doing, but he's doing it better

4. um, a, do you think we should call a timeout and emasculate the entire defensive squad? Whoever pulled the rug out from underneath the "D" should be wrapped up in that rug and tossed out the door! Too bad! Ravens played a great game.

5. It helps to have the refs call everything your way at the end so you can pull it out...

6. This is depressing to watch.... story of all Baltimore sports... winning until the last second and then giving up the lead. Time for the coaching staff to go... offensive mastermind... I think not. Time for Raven fans to demand some new coaching that will help the defense win some games instead of losing games that the defense has played their hearts out for!

7. Blanket party for Rex Ryan! That was just so disappointing. Can't believe the Ravens got screwed like that.

9. Kudos to the Ravens on a great game. I know people are going to say the refs handed the Pats the game, but really the Ravens just killed themselves with penalties. I challenge you to find me any of those penalties which weren't legit. Let's not cheapen what was a fabulous game.

Thanks Tom and Bill!

11. Talk about the fix being in... from the officiating to the final
review. Wow, there is no way he had possession of the ball. It was
moving the whole time. Does the league think an undefeated season is
better for football than the truth?

Prove it. I'll be the first to admit that the last TD was close, but you really think there is "no way" he had possession? I guess the ref who looked at it disagreed. And if you're talking about the holding call, go back and take another luck. The defender held Watson for about 5 yards up the seam. Just look at the play again before you complain.

13. New England should have lost this game. The only reason they won is because the officials wanted them to!
When the Cowboys struggled with posession of the ball in the inzone, the call was in favor of the defense.
In this case, the call was in favor of the offense. Had the exact play had been made vice versa, it would have not been a touchdown!
The game was boring because it was predictable. The patriots will be an easy defeat in the super bowl so long as the officials play fair...(doubt it)

14. Good game Baltimore but you kill'd yourself at the end with penalties. Great game tho. That was the Ravens Super Bowl just like the remaning teams that will play the Patriots. Everybody wants to knock off the best team in Football but great teams do what great teams do....THEY WIN!! WAY TO GO PATS

15. "5. It helps to have the refs call everything your way at the end so you can pull it out..."
It sure does.
Another thing that helps at the end is to throw the hail mary pass into the endzone instead of to the two yardline.
Call it luck or call it skill The Pats are still #1. 12-0 sure has a nice ring to it.

16. The game should've been over when Brady got stuffed on fourth down. Defensive coordinators aren't allowed to call timeout. Only the head coach and players can do that. Shame on the official that granted that timeout.

17. Other coaches can call time outs from the sideline right before a play--responsibility is on the head coach for not controlling his sideline.
Ref made right call--and the Ravens are complaining about the TO being made, not questioning that it was allowed.
