ESPN's broadcast of Monday night's Patriots-Ravens game was the most-watched program in cable television history. As the Ravens came closer and closer to ending the Patriots' chances of finishing the season undefeated, the ratings continued to grow, to the point where in the final minutes of the game, nearly one-third of all televisions being used were tuned to ESPN.
From ESPN's press release:
Monday Night Football averaged 12,529,000 homes (based on a 13.0 rating), breaking the record for household audience set last year when the network averaged 11,807,000 households for the New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys on October 23 (based on a 12.8 rating). The game was seen by an average of 17,522,000 viewers (P2+), breaking the record set by Disney Channel's High School Musical 2, which averaged 17,241,000 million viewers on August 17 this year.
I now look forward to the cast of High School Musical 2 complaining about how the people who interpret the TV ratings data are all biased.

1. That was a great game! I really wanted to see the Pat's lose... it was a close one.
