Reggie Bush's Disappointing Season Over?

Reggie Bush's fall from grace this year might have bottomed out with the news that he's got a torn PCL that may or may not require surgery, meaning he may or may not miss the rest of the season.

I'm sure you're reading that report and saying "Chris Mortensen ... he's got a sketchy record with those injury reports, right?" The Saints have confirmed that it's a PCL tear, and that he'll be seeing Dr. James Andrews for a recommendation on surgery. Bush is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Falcons, though he's not expected to play.

Now, I believe that Reggie is hurt. And in my criticisms I've never questioned his toughness or willingness to play through injury -- he's played through sprains, strains, bruises, and concussions, that's one thing even the biggest Bush detractor has to admit. But ... the decision to potentially shut Bush down for the season is coming at a peculiar time, considering recent events. Just sayin'.
