Not that is should come as much of a surprise, but Chiefs' running back Larry Johnson will miss his sixth consecutive game this weekend when Kansas City plays host to the Tennessee Titans. This news, which was quietly announced by coach Herm Edwards yesterday, is more indication that Johnson will end the season on the sideline; something that has been speculated for weeks.
Even when he was playing, LJ wasn't quite "himself" this year. He had gained only 559 yards in eight games, while averaging 3.5 yards per carry. And perhaps even more uncharacteristic of the former Pro Bowler were the five games he gained less than 60 yards.
The Chiefs will be on the road for the final two games of the season, and it seems highly unlikely that Johnson will return for either.

people are not going to get over it. and you hust got to accept it. you'll hear talk about this for weeks and months to come. its fine with me if he doesn't play. keep kolby smith in. he's doing a better job than LJ ever will even as a rookie. it about time you dont hear about larry johnson this and larry johnson that anymore. i mean gosh let someone else have the glory. he only gets the props and does what he does because he runs behind a good awfenseive line. thats all there is to it. and people are right, he hasnt been himself. something is deffinitly different about him. this team just needs to rebuild...a lot. Lj's foots broken, big deal. it's not the end of the world. he'll be back.
