Report: Andy Pettitte Named in Mitchell Report

We're just an hour away from the official announcement of George Mitchell's report -- can you feel the rush? -- and yet another Yankee pitcher has been named. According to the New York Daily News, Andy Pettitte's name appears in the report as well.

Like the Roger Clemens name-drop, it's believed that Clemens' and Pettitte's trainer gave them the HGH hookup.
According to a source familiar with information provided to Mitchell, Brian McNamee, the longtime personal trainer for the players, gave the former Senate majority leader conducting a steroids investigation for Major League Baseball information linking Clemens to the use of steroids and human growth hormone and Pettitte to human growth hormone.

According to the source, who asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the information, both players were provided the substances to help them recover from injury.
Tough pill to swallow for Yankees out there if this is indeed all true. (Although, one can always debate the merits of HGH.) Oh, and there's also this highly unofficial list of names being bandied about this morning. This link comes with a huge RUMOR ALERT disclaimer. Check it out if you'd like. Much more to come on all this, obviously.
