Titans at Chiefs: Will Fans Even Show Up?

To get you ready for week 15, FanHouse is previewing all 16 NFL games. Here is the Kansas City Chiefs/Tennessee Titans preview.

2007 Records:

Tennessee Titans: 7-6 (3rd in AFC South)
Kansas City Chiefs: 4-9 (T-3rd in AFC West)

Last Game(s):

Chargers 23 - Titans 17
Broncos 41 - Chiefs 7

When the Titans have the ball: It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how Tennessee is going to approach this game. Which, by all accounts, is a must win if they hope to keep their playoff dreams alive.

The Titans currently have the fourth ranked rush offense in the entire league, while the Chiefs have the 26th ranked rush defense in the NFL. And basically, that's what this game will boil down to; the ground attack. Can LenDale White and the Titans run all over Kansas City, or will the Chiefs pull one out of the hat and shut them down to go out victorious in their final home game of the season?

When the Chiefs have the ball: Kansas City on offense? Hmm ... what can the Chiefs do with the ball? Well, they can't run, they can't pass and they can't score. In fact, if it weren't for the San Francisco 49ers, they'd be in a league all their own. So, what can fans expect this Sunday? Well, if they bother to show up, probably not much. And while it honestly pains me to say that, I'd be lying if I suggested anything different.

Then again, that's why games are played. The Titans could go into this thinking they've already got it won, only to be upset because they weren't giving it their all. But, it's unlikely that will happen with a playoff spot potentially on the line.

The Edge: Experts, analysts and fans are always looking for the "edge" and what team has it. So, who has it this week? Well, the Chiefs are barely playing, while the Titans are fighting for the playoffs. What do you think?

Keep an eye on:

The fans versus Herm Edwards - This could get interesting on Sunday and all throughout the offseason.

Jared Allen versus Michael Ross - The Chiefs defensive line may be the one positive the team has had all year, and Jared Allen has helped make that possible. He's become one of the best defensive ends in the game, and he'll be looking to add to his team leading 11.5 sacks this weekend.

Note: The headline says it all: will fans even show up? Well, of course some fans will show up, but will there be more empty seats than usual? Herm Edwards recently said he wouldn't be surprised if that actually happened, and I don't think anyone else would be either.
