There were a few big name players listed in the Mitchell Report like Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite, but for the most part, the report didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know, or hadn't long suspected anyway. Some former players like Jose Canseco were extremely disappointed in the report.Canseco called the report a "slap on the wrist" and said there were many names missing from it. The one name he was most shocked to see omitted was that of Alex Rodriguez.
"All I can say is the Mitchell Report is incomplete," Canseco said. "I could not believe that (Rodriguez's) name was not in the report."Well in an interview with "60 Minutes" that's set to air on Sunday, Rodriguez is asked if he ever used steroids or HGH, and contrary to what Canseco says, Rodriguez maintains he's 100% clean and says he thinks baseball is making great strides.
"It's laughable," Canseco said of the list, which included such stars as Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Barry Bonds and Miguel Tejada. "I heard the report, I saw the list of players and there are definitely a lot of players missing. I don't know what they accomplished or what they are trying to prove."
In the interview, scheduled to air Sunday, when asked by Katie Couric if he had used steroids, human growth hormone or another performance-enhancing drug, Rodriguez said, "No."Personally I have no idea if Rodriguez has ever used steroids of any kind. I wouldn't be shocked if he has, and I wouldn't be shocked if he's clean. I have to say though that we've all seen Rodriguez play since he debuted with the Mariners as an 18-year old fresh out of high school.
"I think baseball's done a fine job of implementing some very strict rules," Rodriguez said in the interview. "I mean, I got tested eight or nine times. I know some of my teammates got tested, you know, seven, eight ... times and, you know, if you think about where the game is today versus where it was six years ago, I think Major League Baseball has made some nice strides."
He was a great hitter then, and he's an even better hitter now. Yes, he's gotten bigger, but it's not as if he experienced a sudden growth spurt like Sammy Sosa or Barry Bonds. I've seen nothing in his career that would implicate he ever has cheated, but then again, he's played his entire career within an era that saw a lot of Major Leaguers cheating. Which makes it that much harder to figure it out from an outsider's perspective.

It depends upon what the definition of "is" is. If a pharmacists says, take this, it is not a steroid or whatever, but a different, but very similar substance, then , by definition, it is not a steroid, or HGH, or whatever. So A-Rod, or whoever, may think, i am not lying. The devil is in the details. I can tell you this, A-Rod is a Leo, and Leo , the Lion, (Lying?) are notorious for enhancing their bodies...Like Arnold, Clemens, Dolly Parton, Tom Brady (not sure about him using...), etc. It is a Leo's nature to "beef uP"....you know, Leo the Lion is king of the jungle and eats a lot of meat....................

Wonder if anyone at 60 minutes suggested a lie detector test for A-Rod. Everyone claims they didn't use steroids (can you say Palmiero") and although a lie detector test isn't perfect, it would certainly help those who want to show the public that they are telling the truth.

Let's remember....this is America's sport. Let's let the furor die down and get back to sports at it's finest...baseball. The Babe had his performance enhancers as did Mickey, Pete Rose, etc. Spring training is right around the corner, how about moving on, cleaning up the drugs, test frequently and PLAY BALL!

If steroids made you hit .350 or 55 home runs, I'd be in the majors, as would everyone who wanted to be. This stuff is such B.S. Now whenever a player has a banner year, many will ask, "Is he juiced?" It is disgusting and I am sick of it.
