If you've seen Redskins safety LaRon Landry run around the secondary trying to knock people's head off, this makes perfect sense. From the Sports Bog's Dan Steinberg: As I was entering the corner of the Redskins locker room where the secondary guys hang out on Sunday night, LaRon Landry was walking toward the shower. I couldn't help but notice the words "Suicide Mission" written neatly in what looked like magic marker across his chest.Steinberg asked several Redskins players about the Suicide Mission thing, and got some form of the following: "That dude is crazy." Steinberg caught up to Landry to ask him about it, and here's what we know:
He's been doing it since his freshman year in high school; he thought of the idea himself; any marker will do -- "washable marker, permanent marker, it doesn't matter, as long as it's black" -- and ... yeah, Landry's nuts. Even he thinks so:
"Yup," he said. "I'm crazy. That's just the approach you have to have each and every game. Why not give it your all and leave it on the field? If you don't live up to that, why are you doing it?"I got nothing.
