NFL.com's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Bengals Chad Johnson and Broncos Javon Walker want out of their respective situations:However, a showdown is looming in Cincinnati, where few of the Bengals are happy with the way this past season went and some, including Johnson, could opt to seek their exit.
For starters, Johnson and Palmer did not connect the way they did in other seasons. Also, the Bengals are expected to try to retain Pro Bowl wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who has one year remaining on his contract. Should the two sides come to the agreement that many expect, it could send Johnson back to the bargaining table to rework a six-year, $35.5 million contract extension he signed in April 2006.
However it plays out, sources close to the situation insist that the Bengals have not heard the last from Johnson this off-season. The story is just beginning.
The Bengals have said all along that they want Ocho Cinco around, but any big-time deal that Houshmandzadeh signs will effect Chad Johnson's mindset of his worth.
As for Javon Walker, it is more economics than anything.
The Broncos are reluctant to pay Walker the $5.4 million option bonus payment due to him. Denver surrendered a second-round pick to Green Bay two years ago and since then, Walker has battled injuries and controversy, the most recent coming Sunday when he said he didn't want to return to Denver for next season.
Trading these two guys during this offseason may be best ... if you are going to deal them at all. The free agent market for receivers really isn't good so it is a seller's market.

1. I wish Javon would shut up, stay healthy, and play football. Or maybe we can trade him to Chicago for Lance Briggs and put DJ back on the weakside.

3. Welcome to the world of the selfish Javon Walker. He had one good seaon at Green Bay after two very so-so seasons. Then, mostly injured the past three seasons .... So far in the NFL Javon Walker is just a footnote - if even that. Still, he think's he is a star. I'd love to see him in Chicago. Why not poison the water in our arch-rivals back-yard. Just keep him OUT of Green Bay - we threw out that trash two years ago.

4. trade him for lance briggs it is a very good deal chicago needs a reciever and our denver broncos relly need a linebacker so that we could put D.J back on outside or weak linebacker position. If javon wants out let him go we have big brandon marshall a.k.a "baby T.O" he is much more of a complete player and athlete. with a trade of javon we can get one of our problems out the way a linebacker position. so bye bye javon we dont need you with two brandons who are pro bowl material and dont get hurt.

6. I think if Chad Johnson could prove himself on a good team, like the Patriots or Colts, or teams that have made good receivers into incredible receivers, the Eagles and Cowboys, the NFL would finally see his worth. Being an Eagles fan, I for one would LOVE to have Johnson in Philly to see what he's capable of

7. The idea of Chad wanting out of Cincinnati is so much media-contrived B.S. that's conjured up because it sells. When has Chad said that he wants out of Cincinnati? All he's said recently is that if they think he's the problem, they should get rid of him. Basically what he's saying is, if I'm going to be the scapegoat, then do something about it, otherwise get off my back.
What did Chad do differently this year than he did the previous five years? And yet the last five years, all you heard was how great of a guy he is and how everything he does is to pump up his teammates. Now, since they went 7-9, suddenly the exact same stuff is a negative influence? It's nonsensical finger pointing that's drummed up by sensationalistic media because it sells newspapers and airtime. Chad is the same Chad he's always been, and the ones that are smart enough to know that still love him.

8. as a jaguar fan i am encouraged by the news of chad wanting out. looking at the jags-pat game i think chad me just what the jags need to propell their offense to the next level. maybe a second round choice in the draft so cin can improve their defense.

9. My thoughts on the Bengals 2 WRs is that stats don't lie , and thoughts of being a 40yr old WR are not in the near future , so spread the wealth to what you know , if not someone else will , look at my team the OAKLAND RAIDERS and Randy Moss who is available again at the end of the season. We need both Chad and Javon , and throw Odell in there to.

10. All i can say is stats don't lie , how long do the Bengals think it would take for a team get one or both of these WRs ,share the wealth or somebody else will , my team played that card and we lost Randy Moss to the PATS !

12. Stats don't lie , i see these 2 WRs being impact players on a team that is willing to share the wealth to get a WR to help their team reach the playoffs , My team the Oakland Raiders made the mistake with Randy Moss , Chad Javon And Odell are welcome to come play for the Raiders !

14. I understand where Chad's coming from, he had a great year & people are still on his case. Sure he probably feels he could have done better but that's only because he wants to win so badly. Sometimes he tends to put too much pressure on himself and the results aren't as he would like but he can't be held accountable for a defense that plenty of room for improvement. Things will be alright and all of this will be just water under the bridge

18. fact is carson has a great arm, with no legs. He's a old Dan Marino. he turning very predictible, defenders know exactly what he's going to do, he will have 25 yards in front of him to run, instead he will throw a incoplete pass for 5 yards. If you are a Bengal fan you know it's true. And they better get of Chad's back. Be careful of what you wish for. TJ is a great possesion receiver, but just remember, he's slow as hell, a rudi johnson type receiver. chad does great with any quaterback, remember kitna. he can win a few games but he's a dumb quaterback. chad frees everything up, no chad next year you will see TJ never getting open, he's smart but very slow and catching age. Carson stop being the good classie nerd boy, and cuss your defense out like Elway and Montana,Marino,Jim Kelly did. Just because you have a flamboyant wide receiver in chad, try not turning on him, or you will be moving down field 1 yard at a time with slow slower and slowest being Tj Rudi Carson. Carson stop getting nervous at the end of games.

19. I think this whole thing with Chad is media hype. I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years and love the excitement Chad brings. In a year that basically went bad in every area of the team I think emotions for everyone went wild. I actually like the fact people are mad about losing. I hope Chad isn't really saying stuff to get out. If so then it is just another T.O story. I think Chad is a better person then that. And this stuff about how he will feel it T.J gets a big contract and he won't like it I think is rediculous. Chad will be happy for T.J and will look forward to playing with T.J for along time and become the dual that no one can stop.

20. Chad Jonhson will not go any anywhere....... Unless some team is willing to give up a quality Middle Line Backer and Safety........ Plus 10 first round picks and 5 2nd round picks...... That is the bottom line because I say so
