Garrard's Feet Spoil Comeback of the Century

David Garrard couldn't win the game with his arm, so he won it with his feet.

With less than two minutes left and his Jacksonville Jaguars facing a crucial 4th down & 2, Garrard found daylight and took off running for 32 yards, setting up Josh Scobee's game-winning field goal and giving the Jaguars a 31-29 playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Garrard's running made up for his worst passing game of the season. He completed only 9 of 21 passes for 140 yards and had his first multi-interception game since December of 2006. With Pittsburgh focused on stopping the Jaguars' running backs, though, Garrard ended up being the team's rushing leader with 57 yards on five carries, three of which led to first downs. His versatility overcame one of the biggest playoff comebacks in history.

Clearly, Jack Del Rio's faith in Garrard was rewarded once again. After all, when has Byron Leftwich ever run for that many first downs? I don't think they could have carried him 57 yards.
