Well, kind of. You won't see any of the NBA brightest stars shooting from random spots on the court, but rather the brightest stars of the D-League. From Henry Abbott of TrueHoop:
I talked to the head of the NBA's D-League, Dan Reed, today (more on that later), and he told me the excellent news that this All-Star Weekend's Friday night festivities will include a D-League H-O-R-S-E competition.Wait, the NBA is trying to use the All-Star Game's spotlight to feature their other properties? Shocking. I hope it works, though, because if it's successful and ends up featuring actual All-Stars, Rasheed Wallace would have that thing in the bag.

Pathetic. Why not just add hop scotch and skip rope? I knew the NBA was a bush league full of thugs but this tops all. I just had a thought how about a jacks tournament. hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Woohoo! Glad to hear one of the more entertaining events is making a reappearance!
Some of the shots these guys can make are incredible...can we get Dan Majerle to suit up for the D-League for those behind-the-back, seated, half-court three pointers?

GreatR-
WTF? In the end, the NBA is about throwing a ball through a hole. These guys do it more and better than anyone else, so something relating to a trick shot/H-O-R-S-E competition is a natural follow to Dunk/3pt competitions. If you want to argue about it being impossible to determine who should play, that might be valid.
What's pathetic is calling it a thug league in this context. The idea of a H-O-R-S-E contest, the basketball equivalent of kids' whiffleball homerun derby, is broached.
Go back to New Jersey.

They should play "Sneakin' In The Lane," which was popular in Duxbury, MA.. where I grew up.
3 players... 2 on defense. First to ten wins. If you don't actually hit the floor or bleed, you weren't fouled.
9 "teams" of 3, with the winner ofeach game going into the final 3.
If we have to watch D League guys, we may as well see them roughed up a bit.
