Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss has spoken out about the woman who accused him of battery and got a restraining order against him. Answering questions from reporters, Moss said a female friend is trying to extort money from him and making a false accusation that he injured her.
For someone to make a false claim about me, I'm kind furious. It kind of hurts me deep inside for someone to do something like that, because I've always said time and time again that I am going to stand up for what's right. If I'm right, I'm right. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. And that's where you have your attorneys, your friends, so when you're wrong someone can tell you you're wrong. You know what I mean? My situation is where I felt that I did nothing wrong. It was an accident. Whatever happened, it was an accident. I wish I could sit here and yell you all what happened. But there is a lawsuit or whatever is been coming against me, I can't really explain or tell you all what is going on. All I want to say is that I'm going to continue to play football.It's important to remember that Moss has not been arrested or charged with a crime. Presumably, if the police had any reason to believe Moss had actually injured this woman, they would have arrested him, meaning that, right now, the evidence points in the direction of believing that Moss is telling the truth.

4. Pretty clear this is a case of extortion to me. I've never been a fan of Randy Moss, but this year has changed my opinion of him 100%, so if it were to turn out to be true, I would be very disappointed. I think MDS is exactly right here, we should all assume that Moss is telling the truth unless it is proved to be otherwise.

14. INOCENT until PROVEN otherwise!! Had a friend accused of harrassing and spilling coffee on a waitress in Cleaveland in 1999 Police said she has accused another spors official of simular issue. Both found with-out cause and she was later fired for harrassment herself. Just have to be careful cause ya never know - there are idiots thinking they can get some quick money from ya for doing nothing wrong.
