Giants quarterback Eli Manning is an unlikely candidate to play the role of plucky underdog-turned- superhero, but that's exactly what he'll be in the eyes of millions of fans if he somehow leads the Giants to an upset of the Patriots. Ryan Parker puts it to music:
It's a little weird that the guy who was the first pick in the draft is the Superman and the guy who was the sixth-round draft pick is the Bizarro Superman, but that's how things have turned out.

Some interesting similarities between the '01 Pats and the 07 Giants:
Both lost the first two game of the season and went on to the Super Bowl
Both featured young QBs who do nothing but win
Both were 14 point dogs in the Super Bowl against a team with an "unstoppable offense" (in 01 it was the Rams)
The '01 Pats won, the '07 Giants: only time will tell

dont sell the giants short here. they beat the unbeatable buffalo bills in 1991. were about 14 pt undedog then. even though that has nothing to do with this game. they are a good team playing well within themselves and they are on a roll. actually thaought if bradshaw had played in the last game of the year against the pats that added spark he provides would have allowed the giants to beat the pats. looks like we will get the chance to see if i am right. giants win a close hard fought game 14-10

Funny - Patriots fans have more faith in Eli's ability than the home crowd does. "Loyal" Giant Fans: Nobody up here hates your coach or QB. You took care of that all season. What a crying shame.
At least, the Giants can play the Super Bowl in a peaceful setting - Away from NY.
Go Pats!!!!!!!
