Last week, Giants' receiver Plaxico Burress predicted a 23-17 win over the Patriots. We all laughed. Not so much that he thought that New York would win but that New England would only score 17 points. I mean ... this is the highest scoring offense in the history of the NFL.
Later on, Tom Brady wondered why Plaxico lowballed the Patriots score, too.
"We're only going to score 17 points?" Brady said before chuckling about it. "OK. Is Plax playing defense? I wish he had said 45-42 and gave us a little credit for scoring more points."
Uh, Tommy boy, he actually gave you too much credit. The Patriots went over 57 minutes with just 7 points scored. And that came after a pass interference call in the endzone on third down gave them the ball on the 1-yard line. Of the 84 teams that have played in the Super Bowl ... only 14 scored less than the Patriots did today (14). This was the sixth lowest scoring game in Super Bowl history.

His prediction was the first thing I thought of after the game was over. Yea, I bet Brady isn't laughing or going to laugh anymore at such comments.

where are the pats fans? hahahahah. I wonder how sumg they are right now? All season they did nothing but tell the rest of the country how their team was so much better than the rest. We were all haters, remember. We had no respect for the "greatest team ever". But in the end I was right, they were overrated(check my posts).

Memo to Pattriots fans: wait until AFTER THE GAME next time to come on blogs of opposing teams and talk smack.
Looks like the Patriots fans are just as big of sore losers as Bill Belicheat. They come onto Giants blogs before the game and talk all kinds of trash about how the Pats are going to win 56-9, how they are the best team of all-time. And now they can't even face the music of what was Brady Beatdown by the Giants' 'D' and a clutch performance by Eli Manning to win the game.
Guess what, Pats fans? Your 18-0 start means jack sheeot now, and it's all because of the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS, THE WORLD CHAMPIONS OF THE 2007-08 SEASON!
And the 2007-08 Patriots? Now they'll be known as the FAKETRIOTS, just like all their frontrunning fans who started watching them in 2001 or when Bill Parcells was hired in the early '90s, who couldn't tell you who Tony Eason or Steve Grogan or Irving Fryar are, and whose fathers and grandfathers were rooting for the GIANTS 20 or 40 years ago.
How 'bout dem apples?

You have to win one game to be the the best in the NFL- and the Giants just did it. The better TEAM won this game and wanted it more. I feel for the Patriots fans- most of their lives will be somhow destroyed until next training camp. If the Giants would have lost , their fans would have been just fine. Why? the Giants fans have lives of their own.

eat it pats fans. tdips hit it on the head. For the last half of the season it was "your all haters and your team sucks" is all you had to say. But I remember saying that you hadn't proved anything yet and I was called a fool and was accused of being a fan of a suck team. Well the I don't think my packers sucked this year, and the great thing is both of our teams khave something in common: we both are not getting rings this year. So where is the shit talking now? Be men and say soemthing.

Maybe the Pats cant win without cheating. Its not as easy to block em if you dont when their coming. It was always interesting that the Pats would ALWAYS seem to max protect and have the back on the correct side when other team blitzed, I guess we know why. How many SB would they have won without cheating, maybe none maybe 3. Also if you played for NE you now must wonder were we that good or was it the cheating, after all 2-3 plays in a game is the difference in winning and losing.

How sweet it is that Bill Belicheat and the Cheatriots went down in flames. They just couldn't handle the pressure of carrying an asterisk around for the rest of their lives. I hear that Brady was last seen ehading to a Victoria Secret's party with an empty box of condoms.

Screw all you Pats haters. Yes, it's disappointing to lose last night. But, any of you morons who think that this team cheated their way to 18-0 are out of your friggin' minds. And I'll tell you, as much as the Giants outplayed the Pats, if Asante makes the interception of Eli's lame duck on that last drive, we'd be smiling now. No matter how bad the Pats were on any given day during the last half of the season, they always found the way to win. They went to the well too many times.
