Mercury Morris Tears Up for Giants Win

Mercury Morris has become the outspoken spokesman for the 1972 Dolphins and their death-grip on the only undefeated season in modern NFL history. He was available to anyone who wanted to talk about the undefeated season. Now, he's drinking the champagne as he knows that the Dolphins just dodged their closest competition for perfection.

He may have worn aqua during his career, but on Sunday night, Morris was a red, white and blue Giants fan, as he explained to ESPN:

"When this kid scored, a tear came to my eye because I'm emotional. You guys know you never see me like this. I'm very humbled at what the Giants were able to do as underdogs. Realize that on any given Sunday anyone can beat anyone else, except in 1972.
With the Patriots loss, the Dolphins are likely safe for several more years to come. With a slew of players in their 60s now, it's likely that many will now be able to live the rest of their lives without having to welcome anyone else to their club.
